I want to make a very light XP Prof. instalation and I was wondering which parts must be saved. I haven`t found any tutorials, which would tell what parts are required for normal usage of XP. In other hand it should be up-to-date instalation so it won`t be too small. My target is to check for delete all components and then uncheck those needed. Do i have to use IE (or any of its part) to connect to Windows Update and see which updates i`ve got installed? Automatic updates requires (part of) it? On-line antivirus scanners? I use IE only for those 2 things. Did the WMP (or its part) is required to watch streamed TV via webbrowser? Is any other program which could do that? or it depends on "stream provider"? Can i make light instalation and add some files that i may need in future on CD and when XP prompts me about missing part can i install only this one (or from original XP CD)? I imagine this like: XP installs clean (even without IE), runs, and: asks what things I want to install (ie. Firefox, Thunderbird, Winamp etc.) and I check them, or I simpy run suitable exe from nLite XP CD. ---------- Sorry if some one doesn`t understand me. Write a PM with notice how I should wrote this.
