I thought I was fairly careful with my nLite XP Pro SP2 installation on my laptop, and it overall runs fine, but I find that I'm having multimedia issues. First off, I can't install Direct X. It internal-errors out every time, and the error log is like trying to read Egyptian. My video card is an ATI x800 Mobility, but apparently the Catalyst drivers couldn't install DX either! When I try to install Media PLayer Classic, it says "The procedure point OpenVxDHandle could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll" I have sound etc. I DID remove windows media player and IE so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. Anyone have a clue what the issue might be? My nlite'd XP install works fine (finally), but I find that I really am not a fan of the blank white EXE program icons, which is one of the options I selected when creating my install. I'm wondering if there is a way to re-enable them, short of doing a whole new nLite install?

My bad, turned out that the mouse was faulty. I used an old mouse for my laptop and I didn't know it was on the fritz, so I incorrectly assumed that it was an nLite error.

My issue is similar. I can't do anything with my nLite'd XP install because the cursor hovering over buttons seems to click them, it drags windoes, focuses them, etc. as though I were clicking and dragging when all I'm doing is moving the mouse around. Any thoughts on what is causing this? I've tried different customizations, each more careful and less light than the last, and it continues. it's on a notebook pc and the same happens on the touchpad, if that helps.
