Also, Running the Windows Registry Checker from DOS might help. This program scans the registry once a day & automatically stores backups of the Windows Registry. Restart in DOS mode & type the following: scanreg /restore Then choose a backup to restore & press Enter, you should be prompted to restart your computer later to complete this process.
