i think its down to the sm bus controller.. i install this and i get bsod? my network adapter is working so do i need the drivers for the sm bus controller?

hi all 1st post..... ive just installed vista ultimate and get the royal sys error ive googled it and found it to be nforce drivers (correct me if wrong) i uninstalled them and its still doing same? i havent installed anything else or changed anything.. is this a common fault or should i go back to xp?
