  1. I didn't remove .NET Framework, but I did install the alternative runtimes. No worries, I'll borrow my girlfriend's laptop, she has Vista and I've created an XP disc on there once before. Works great without problems. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
  2. It will install, but nothing happens when I try to run the program. I'm wondering if there's a way to get it working so I can create an XP disc for an ancient system I have kicking around? Please advise!
  3. It's a while since I used Win 98SE but I think it's just the same procedure for adjusting the screen resolution as XP. Right-click your desktop. Select Properties > Settings. Move the Screen resolution slider all the way to the right. Click Apply. This should fix it.
  4. I appreciate the help. Thank you.
  5. Please excuse my ignorance. What's "a/c"? EDIT: Oh, "accounts"? if so, then i can go ahead and remove them, seeing as this is a single user machine with no other accounts?
  6. Anyone? Surely someone must know.
  7. Are they OK to remove? I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about: O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-20\..\RunOnce: [nltide_3] rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSectionEx nLite.inf,C,,4,N (User '?') O4 - HKUS\S-1-5-18\..\RunOnce: [nltide_3] rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSectionEx nLite.inf,C,,4,N (User '?') O4 - HKUS\.DEFAULT\..\RunOnce: [nltide_3] rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSectionEx nLite.inf,C,,4,N (User 'Default user')
  8. Question's in the title. I stripped it out accidentally and now I'm needing it! Can I reinstall this somehow?
  9. Hi Nuhi EDIT: I solved the problem. On Sygate's Options tab, there's a check box for "Allow Stealth Mode Browsing". This had become checked without me realizing it. I unchecked it and now it's fine. Sorry to bother you all with my problems! All is good again. Thanks for the reply, Nuhi.
  10. Hi. I made a new version of nLited XP a couple of days ago, and since then I am having problems reaching one of the websites I visit. It is giving me error HTTP 406. I have had confirmation from another forum member that everything is OK, so all I can think is it could be caused by something I've removed. Any ideas? I have made many versions of nLite XP over the years and this is the first time I have encountered any problems. Here is a list of the stuff I removed: Customized by nLite v1.4.1 - www.nliteos.com Components removed: Accessibility Options Briefcase Charmap ClipBook Viewer Defragmenter Games Internet Games NT Backup Paint Pinball Screensavers Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) Display Adapters Display Adapters (old) Ethernet (LAN) IBM PS/2 TrackPoint IBM Thinkpad ISDN Logitech WingMan Microsoft SideWinder Modems MultiFunctional Portable Audio Printers Scanners Serial Pen Tablet Sony Jog Dial Sound Controllers Tape drives Toshiba DVD decoder card Wireless Ethernet (WLAN) ALI 1535 SMBus Host Controller ALI IDE Controller ATM Support Battery Bluetooth Support Brother Devices CMD PCI IDE Controller CPU Intel CPU Transmeta Crusoe Firewire (1394) Support Firewire Network support Gravis Digital GamePort IEEE 1284.4 devices (Dot4) InfraRed Intel PCI IDE Controller Iomega Zip drive Microsoft Color Management (ICM) Modem Support Multi-port serial adapters Multi-Processor Support PCMCIA Printer Support Ramdisk Secure Digital host controller Smart Cards Sony Memory Stick Teletext codec Toshiba PCI IDE Controller USB Audio support USB Ethernet USB Video Capture devices VIA PCI IDE Controller Video Capture Windows CE USB Host *Keyboard layouts (no need to list)* ActiveX for streaming video AOL ART Image Format Support DirectX diagnostic tool Images and Backgrounds Intel Indeo codecs Media Center MIDI audio support Mouse Cursors Movie Maker Music Samples Old CDPlayer and Sound Recorder Speech Support Tablet PC Windows Media Player Windows Media Player 6.4 Windows Sounds Client for Netware Networks Communication tools Comtrol Test Terminal Program Connection Manager FrontPage Extensions H323 MSP Internet Connection Wizard Internet Information Services (IIS) IP Conferencing MAC Bridge Map Network Drives/Network Places Wizard MSMail and MAPI MSN Explorer Netmeeting NetShell Cmd-Tool Network Monitor Driver and Tools Network Setup Wizard NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Protocol Outlook Express Peer-to-Peer Share Creation Wizard Synchronization Manager TAPI Application Support TCP/IP Version 6 Vector Graphics Rendering (VML) Web Folders Windows Messenger .NET Framework Administrative Templates Administrator VB scripts Blaster/Nachi removal tool Certificate Management Color Schemes Command-line tools Desktop Cleanup Wizard Disk and Profile Quota Disk Cleanup Document Templates DR Watson Extensible Storage Engine (Esent97) Extra Fonts FAT to NTFS converter File and Settings Wizard File System Filter Manager Help and Support IExpress Wizard Input Method Editor Jet Database Engine Logon Notifications Manual Install and Upgrade MDAC MS Agent MS XML 2.0 Private Character Editor Remote Installation Services (RIS) Search Assistant Security Center Service Pack Messages Symbolic Debugger (NTSD) Tour User account pictures Visual Basic 5 runtime Visual Basic 6 runtime Web View Zip Folders Alerter Application Layer Gateway Automatic Updates Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) Beep Driver COM+ Distributed Link Tracking Client Distributed Transaction Coordinator (DTC) DNS Client Error Reporting Fax Service HTTP SSL IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service Indexing Service IPSEC Policy Agent Message Queuing (MSMQ) Messenger Network DDE Performance Logs and Alerts QoS RSVP Quality of Service (QoS) Remote Registry Removable Storage Route Listening Service Secondary Logon Service Advertising Protocol Simple TCP/IP Services SNMP System Event Notification (SENS) System Restore Service Task Scheduler TCP/IP NetBIOS Helper Telnet Terminal Services Text Services Framework Uninterruptible Power Supply Universal Plug and Play Device Host Volume Shadow Copy WebClient Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) Windows Time DOCS SUPPORT VALUEADD I used SP2 and RyanVM's Update Pack 2.2.1b3 on a clean XP, btw.
