  1. Hi, Having a little trouble with trying to work out how to protect Mapped network drives within XP Pro. I have two separate partitions (Shared) and two groups and only want each group to be able to access there drive and within each drive I would like the users to have a personal folder(or My Documents Folder that is mapped to that partitioned drive)which can only be accessed by them, with permissions or password. Could anybody please help with some instructions it would be much appreciated. Thanks
  2. I did read that thread, but do I need the WINNT.SIF file? It's say's, -No need for any entries in WINNT.SIF (except the one above). I can't see in the instructions of that thread what needs to be added to the WINNT.SIF. But I can't find it in the install dir for XP. Sorry for the questions, I'm just confirming
  3. Hi, I'm having the same problem with a iastor driver on a ASUS motherboard. F6 willn't work and I've tried to do whats below but received a error message a the start of install, BOOT.INI could anybody please make the advice of this post into some instructions that are easier to follow (PLEASE) I'm a bit of a newbie with these sort of issues. I cannot find a winnt.sif file within the install dir. Where do i put the .cab file once I've made it ? The driver is Intel ICH8R that I'm having troubles with. On top of this I have burnt at least 5 discs with images i made with n-lite, I added the drivers but theres has been different issues each time and when I did get a install to work I received the blue screen of death on restart ( I have used n-lite before doing the same thing with my laptop it worked no worries ) So even if i can get F6 to work maybe I'll get this system out of my face. Thanks Below is quoted from this post. create $oem$\drivers\IAA and copy contents of floppy here. add path to OemPnpDriversPath in winnt.sif use makecab.exe on iastor.sys move iastor.sy_ to i386 folder add the following to txtsetup.sif either all at the end or you can add these entries to their respective sections already there. (the default iaStor_ICH6R as a driver name does not seem to work, 8 letter limit? changed to iaStor and problem went away.) CODE [sCSI] iaStor = "Intel® 82801FR/82801ER/6300ESB SATA RAID Controller" [sourceDisksFiles] iastor.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1 [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&CC_0104 = "iaStor" [sCSI.load] iaStor = iastor.sys,4
