Hi, I'm having the same problem with a iastor driver on a ASUS motherboard. F6 willn't work and I've tried to do whats below but received a error message a the start of install, BOOT.INI could anybody please make the advice of this post into some instructions that are easier to follow (PLEASE) I'm a bit of a newbie with these sort of issues. I cannot find a winnt.sif file within the install dir. Where do i put the .cab file once I've made it ? The driver is Intel ICH8R that I'm having troubles with. On top of this I have burnt at least 5 discs with images i made with n-lite, I added the drivers but theres has been different issues each time and when I did get a install to work I received the blue screen of death on restart ( I have used n-lite before doing the same thing with my laptop it worked no worries ) So even if i can get F6 to work maybe I'll get this system out of my face. Thanks Below is quoted from this post. create $oem$\drivers\IAA and copy contents of floppy here. add path to OemPnpDriversPath in winnt.sif use makecab.exe on iastor.sys move iastor.sy_ to i386 folder add the following to txtsetup.sif either all at the end or you can add these entries to their respective sections already there. (the default iaStor_ICH6R as a driver name does not seem to work, 8 letter limit? changed to iaStor and problem went away.) CODE [sCSI] iaStor = "Intel® 82801FR/82801ER/6300ESB SATA RAID Controller" [sourceDisksFiles] iastor.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1 [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2652&CC_0104 = "iaStor" [sCSI.load] iaStor = iastor.sys,4
