    Thank you for your help, I tried both methods, the first one was already on automatic, and the second one said "Access Denied" when I typed in this second line "ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 oldcatroot2 " Problem still persists

    Hi, I have download the Direct X 9.0b. and in the middle of instillation it gives me this error "The software you are installing has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatability with windows XP" But the dl link said "COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS XP" right off of microsofts website? any ideas? Thanks
