  1. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have the Ultimate version and I did keep the codecs. Someone gave me the updates because I like to learn about the ins and outs of an OS before it's let out to the net. (been only 2 weeks) But, If I were to let Vista update on its own, do you think it might fix the problem? BTW - I think you're right about the reimaging, it seams to be working fine.
  2. I made my first vLite image last night and everything went well except with some updates. I had 2 failures, KB905866 and KB933246. I went on to create the ISO without them and tested the image in Virtual PC. Once I was satisfied it was ok, I used it in vLite and tried integrating the two updates with the new image just made. Unfortunately, only the first update integrated successfully and the second had the same error. This second image seamed ok, but does an image lose any degradation when you re-image an image? I also was unable to integrate - BitLocker Drive Prep Tool KB933246 DreamScene Pkge KB929327 Hold 'Em KB932925 Secure Online Key Bkup KB932926 Windows6.0-KB928439-x86 KB928439 No errors were generated and the log button doesn't seam to work. (clicked on it and nothing happened) I'm not sure what to do next. I noticed some others had trouble with DreamScene too and the solution offered was to use a program that was in another language. I dont remember what it was called but I only know English. Is there an English program that does the same thing? Thanks for any help.
  3. Go into your XP image folder and open 'Last Session_U.ini". Double check your serial number, you might have miss-typed something. As far as I know, this would be the only reason for the OS to prompt you.
  4. I figured out the problem. I used another program to rip XP to the drive and mount in D-Tools. When I used nLite to rip directly from the disc it worked. Not sure why that should have mattered.
  5. Hi All, What an outstanding program! I just hope to get it working. (using v1.4.1) I think nLite might have a couple of bugs but being a newbie... nLite is able to compile and create the iso image but there is a problem when it's loaded in Virtual PC. I'm using XP Pro SP2. Here's what happens: VPC - Boots Inspecting hardware configuration F6 install 3-rd party SCSI & RAID drivers F2 run Automatic System Recovery (ASR) Setup is loading files Setup is Starting Windows <- stops\locks-up here I tried several different test images and every one of them stopped in the same place. I confirmed that it's not due to a bad CD; tested 2 XP Pro CDs. There's not a ripping or iso creation problem - tested with using PowerISO. Finally, it's not due to a conflict I might have made, tested with everything set to default with 'Unattended Mode' and 'Bootable' selected. All the results were the same. Is there a way to work around this? Does nLite rely on anything outside itself besides Net Framework? Maybe I have something disabled that should be turned on. The other challenge is, nLite crashes during the compiling stage when it deals with the Themes section. I was able to get past the problem by editing the 'Last session.ini' file. I removed the entire [DesktopTheme] section including the title and reloaded. Then it worked fine. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!
