  1. Update: Internet Connection Sharing works fine on a laptop of my same model. I have also done a format just right now and that did not solve the problem! What can it be? We have tried to use the other laptop of same model to be the host and the problem persisted. On the other hand if i set one of the other systems as host it everything works well and tracert works fine. Please help me on this! How come a format did not solve anything? And the client system are both exhibiting the same symptoms even if i made no updates whatsoever to them!
  2. Hello, I hope someone can help me with my problem. This is the scenario. I have a Laptop which gets internet (DSL) via a modem and then it distributes this via Wi-Fi and Internet Connection Sharing to two other systems. The above scenario worked 100% fine until recently. Some websites work fine such as www.bov.com, www.go.com.mt, but some websites such as www.yahoo.com, www.google.com do not load. The Laptop is fine and the internet is 100% Functional unlike the client systems. I have also run multiple Virus and Spyware checks with rootkits and everything however this does not seem to the problem. I have no firewall on any system so this is also not the problem. I have managed to isolate the problem the best i can: I am now sure that problem is coming from my Laptop. I have configured on of the client systems to act as the host and my laptop to act as a client and the internet worked fine! I could access all websites without any problem, however not when my laptop is acting as a host. While i was at it i looked and the clients configuration and applied to my laptop but i am still getting the same problem. A tracert command revealed that: When Laptop was as client and everything was working fine: Tracing route to www.yahoo-ht3.akadns.net [87.248.113.14] over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms REOHIX.mshome.net [192.168.0.1] 2 86 ms 43 ms 43 ms 192.168.180.254 3 99 ms 44 ms 43ms gi3-4-614-agg-bkara-1.maltanet.net [217.22.190.225] 4 43 ms 42 ms 44 ms 217.15.97.226 This is what happened when the other system acted as a client and internet would not work: 1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms REOHIX.mshome.net [192.168.0.1] 2 * * * Request timed out. 3 * * * Request timed out. 4 232 ms 111 ms 93 ms 217.15.97.226 Please help i have been trying for ages to fix the problem with no success!
