Hi, first of all, i´m from argentina and my english isn´t good enough, so i´m sorry if i express myself wrong. This is the thing, there is a lot of "lite" modified versions of XP on the net. Some are good, some bad. There is one that really likes me and its very usefull. But there is some things that i want to add and remove from this version. I don´t know much about XP configuration so i don´t know exactly what to add or remove form a complete XP instalation so i can´t make my very mine version of XP (i´m afraid of remove things that are important and i don´t know it). So, this modified version of XP its almost what i want, but i want to add some thinks and remove others (for example: remove the skin, internet explorer, change the keyboard configuration from peru to argentina, add format support, diskette and joystick support, etc.). So, there is a way to "save" the configuration used to make this modified XP and then use it but with a complete XP i386 folder loaded? I´m gonna be more clear. This is what i tried: I opened nLite, and when it ask me for a XP installation folder i put the modified XP folder. nLite recognizes it. And when i pass to add and remove components nLite gives me the configuration used for this modified version (the things that his autor wanted to be quited are unmarked and what he left are marked) So, if i want to remove more thinks that he lefts (example: IE) i can. The problem goes if i want to add some thinks, because its obvious that if i mark some thing nLite will not find it beacuse the modifed version of XP does not only not install this thinks, it also not include the components in his i386 folder (the iso weights 144MB). So, anyone know how can i add components? The only solution that i thinked is in any way open nLite (with the modified XP folder loaded). SAVE this confguration of components marked and unmarked. Close nLite Then open nLite again but with a complete XP intallation folder loaded, and load the configuration of the modified XP. And, i think, i´ll can add and remove components or change configurations wihtout any problem. Lets make clear that what i want is: the modifed XP options, but change some little things by my own. Because i think this version is ALMOST perfect for me well, this are my doubts and questions i hope you can understand me and give some answers Thanks anyway! Goodbye!
