I have prepared a boot CD using WinPE 2.0 when older machines are booted using this CD, they pick up the network drivers and hence the IP etc. but the newer Laptops are not picking up the drivers I mounted the WinPE_x86.iso image using ImageX.exe I've tried PEIMG and DRVLOAD commands but following are the errors : 1. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mounted the WinPE_x86.iso image in D:\WinPE_x86\mount using ImageX.exe C:\Program Files\Windows AIK\Tools\PETools>peimg /inf=c:\INF\b57nd60x.inf D:\WinPE_x86\mount\ Windows Preinstallation Environment Image Setup Tool for Windows Copyright © Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. Installing INF package: c:\INF\b57nd60x.inf PEIMG failed to complete the operation with status code 0x80070002. Please help
  2. Well .... one way is that you configure one machine properly 2. Sysprep that machine 3. use WinPE cd and ImageX to capture the image as a WIM file 4. then copy the wim image to a network location 5. afterwards use WinPE cd and ImageX to deploy that image # a captured WIM file for Vista can only be deployed on machines with similar HAL
