i just got a laptop from my brother and am trying to get it to work again, its a 2005 Gateway notebook model # MX6455. I tried to install the sound/video drivers but i cannot get them to install properly! I went to the gateway website, but everytime i download the drivers off that site and try to install them, they never work! i still dont have sound, and the scrolling on the internet is very slow and 'wave like'. like the page doesnt scroll nice, it scrolls in waves. anyone know where i can get the proper drivers to get my sound and video card working properly? any help is appreciated. i have already tried google and didnt get any success... i guess a start would be to tell you guys what i have in the laptop... as far as i know there is an ATI graphics card, and the driver that i try to install for sound is called: Conexant Universal Device Install/Uninstall Application.
