  1. 1/4: i'm not sure what was wrong. The source disc can boot normally, I have no idea what is missing. 3: so it means only text mode should be used? then what is the use of "pnp mode"?
  2. Hi every body. I just got my new notebook from Dell and wanna to down-grade the pre-installed Vista back to XP. I tried to integrate some drviers download from Dell support page into XP disc with nlite. 1./ At the beginning, it give me a warning when loading the source disc something like: "cannot find msdos.xxx" (forgot the extension), which say it is some critical error, but it still running 2./ During that I faced many warning of "cannot find xxxxx.xxx" when integrating the drivers. Did I did something wrong with the drivers? I downloaded them, which they can run directly under windows, and then extracted them into the same folder, and I choose the "add multiple driver folder". I dont quite understand what exactly the "driver" i need, do I need the setup program or something with extension like ".int" ? 3./ Shoule I choose "PNP" or "text" for the drivers? what are the differences? 4./ After creating the image, I burn the disc with nlite using that image. The disc comes out cannot boot up my notebook, just appear something like "cannot find Nxxx". It appear in short time so i cant see clearly what "NXXX" is, then it boot from the HD with Vista. Can any one tell me which part I did it wrongly? I am puzzled with it
