  1. Anyone here know what exact directory or directories Office 2003 uses to store emails and settings? I've already reformatted and reinstalled my system yet I've backed up all the files on c:\ drive as well as d:\ drive where the files could have possibly been stored. Thanks.
  2. Remove your serial number though from your post.
  3. Why not integrate that all into one cd? If you feel like giving nlite a try, it can slipstream sp2 into your original xp or xpsp1 cd plus remove tons of things that aren't of any use to you. Then you can follow the guides at unattended.msfn.org to slipstream office as well (all on one cd even).

Being a mod is a pain in the butt

    SP2

Sounds like you downloaded the wrong sp2. There is a version that MS released that has debug info and other such on it that isn't compatable with any other version of sp2 so installing it will cause errors or not even work at all. How big is your sp2 install file? Should be exactly 266.1 mb or less (depending on what language). Edit - did you download this version - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en If so, that's the wrong one for you.
  8. Lotta work there. Why not just try replacer? http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/
  9. Call MS. Pick their brains for free since they're offering free phone support - http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=windowsxpsp2 Then when you figure it out, post the fix here so that others will know as well

  11. If you have an Xp Sp1 cd then you can't have anything else added to it or removed. Start from fresh with Xp Sp1 only with not hotfixes or extras added and then slipstream Sp2. Either do that or Start from fresh with an orginal Xp only cd with no integrated service packs or hotfixes.
  12. Biggest thing to remember guys is that MS is giving 100% FREE technical support over the phone to any issues related to service pack 2. So if anything breaks and you have a question about it, don't hesitate to call MS. 13. Been out for a good while now. 2 weeks or so I believe.
  14. I tried this as well and even if I disable the firewire in the BIOS it still calls for them and generates an error saying the .sys file is missing.
  15. http://www.etree.org/md5com.html Go there and it will have the file you need plus instructions on how to check the md5 sum Edit - nvm, you finished

Yes. You and I posted exact same time (less than1 minute apart). You said search forums, I provided a link. Figured I'd leave mine up instead of deleting like I'd normally do.

    http://www3.telus.net/_/replacer/ Use this instead.
  18. Why wouldn't it? Saying that won't work is the same as saying installing Windows Xp then installing Windows Xp Sp1 then Windows Xp Sp2 won't work. Update will update the already installed program. You should be fine.
  19. It doesn't matter anyway really. Post all you want because it will do you no good but get you in trouble. The links to the downloadable service packs are password protected. If you were to provide a direct download link it wouldn't work because it would call for your beta information.
  20. Right click on the .exe and choose properties then go to digital signature. That should tell you.
  21. Click that link Rizz.
  22. Well, unfortunately I'm not much on the abbreviation there. Mind enlightening me as to what OT stands for other than overtime?
  23. Why not just set it to download overnight while sleeping? Use a download manager so you don't get corrupt downloads. In 2/3 nights of downloading you should have it done. Then just be sure to save them. However... I'd suggest just waiting till sp2 is released and downlaoding that one. Either that or get it on cd from Microsoft. Someone posted a link to the site where you could pre-order a cd. It's in a thread or two below yours here.
  24. Just out of curiousity, how is it better?
  25. Unfortunately the answer is no. Microsoft released a free update cd a while back that had sp1 plus a few other udpates as well as the rollup. Shipping and handling was even paid for Shoulda jumped on that. Do you have broadband anywhere near you or a friend that may have it?
