  1. Use CABARC to create a cab file with several files included. Also gives you the option to compress - use LZX:21 for best compression and smallest file.
  2. Just built and new PC image for work and having configured the beauty I ran the sysprep utility as per normal with the -quiet -reseal -mini setup with a fully automated sysprep.inf file, however it goes into a constant reboot requiring me to enter the username, organisation, product id and reboots at the point I would normally expect it to move onto the installing network components. I used the sysprep.exe from SP2 deploy tools. I wonder if there is a bug in the SP2 deploy tools Anyone got some ideas how to resolve without going through the config all over again! I hope this is the right forum.
  3. If your moving a domain from NT4 to a 2000/2003 domain you sure do need DNS - active directory relies heavily on it. I'm not quite sure what you mean by external and internal DNS. You might configure an external DNS server to provide DNS resolution for certain services such as www, however most ISPs will provide this for you I believe. If you did host an external DNS server then you'd probably want it outside the firewall. If your DNS server is actually being used to provide the internal DNS resolution required by AD then you'd want that internal and hidden well away from the internet. Hope this helps
