A bit later than others, but I think there is a better way to integrate the problematic KB2416447.

User_hidden commented that KB2416447 replaces KB979906, so I looked at the two packages and concluded that they can't be that different.

So what I did:

1. Deleted the old KB979906

2. Copied the new KB2416447 to the work dir

3. Renamed it to the old KB979906

4. Everything got processed, installer is now 47.8 MB. No errors. Conclusion: There must be some issue with the filename, perhaps to many characters.

There were another two updates, namely:

KB2418241 - It has two updates inside, we can use the iexpress method to make them BOTH.

KB980773 inside has a different hash than the old KB980773, so I made a new one and replaced the old one.

KB2418241 replaces KB976765.

All three updates processed and included in the package. Still an awesome tool.

With another test here, renamed the KB2416447.exe for KB992416447.exe and it is processed fine, without bugs.

Tries to create addon with the SNM and later unpack the archive that contains netfx.msi for an empty folder. It adds the NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86.msp archive in folder DNF11 and run the command indicated for user_hidden. After this is alone to repack and to remake addon.

Obs: Delete the NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86.msp archive before repack.

Using the tutorial one of the first page, when creating addon DNF11 with the SNMSynth you will get the archive “XPDNF11SP1br.exe”, in its language, inside of folder OUT1.

1 - It extracts the content of the XPDNF11SP1br.exe with winrar or 7z for an empty folder e will get the archives below:

- Folder “DNF11”

- DNF11.REG

- XPDNF11SP1br.CMD

2 - It opens folder “DNF11” and will see the archives below:

- Folder “Program Files”

- Folder “Win”

- langpack-br.msi

- netfx.msi

3 - It extracts archive .MSP of the NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86.EXE of folder “DNF11 inside”. Folders must be only the archives/below:

- Folder “Program Files”

- Folder “Win”

- langpack-br.msi

- netfx.msi

- NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86.MSP

4 - It creates an archive with the command below and saves as “Integrate.bat” inside of folder “DNF11”:

msiexec /p NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86.msp /a netfx.msi /qb /l * install.log

5 - It runs the Integrate.bat archive and it waits the process to be concluded.

6 - Delete the NDP1.1sp1-KB2416447-X86.MSP archive of folder DNF11, leaving but the initial archives:

- Folder “Program Files”

- Folder “Win”

- langpack-br.msi

- netfx.msi

7 - Repack these archives with 7z and remakes addon with config again below:

I have made it, no error message, the integration is succesfull; but once recompressed (7zip ultra) the installer is 4 Mb larger than usually....(46mb vs 50 mb now)

Any chance to modify the hotfix so it can be processed by SNMsynth ?

Yes, the installer is bigger. But, for the time being it is the best alternative.

I believe that it has conditions to make this with the SNMsynth, but do not know as.

We go to twist so that the Strel comes back soon or that our friends of the forum in help them with this.

It's not code. It's a command line. You can run it from a command prompt or the "Run" dialog.

To make it easier, just put what I have on the previous page into a file named setup.cmd and paste the command-line into it. Then run that file.

I tested the version beta-L with XPSP3 Pro, but error 127 continues appearing in setuperr.log.

I changed the path to D:\hfslip_sp3_maio_2009. I'm using the update page maintained by you (tommyp) as source to updates (http://www.vorck.com/windows/hotfixes_xp.html). And i have checked for IE6/7 updates and i found none (i don't have downloaded them). I've downloaded a second time IE8 using other pc, and the result its the same.

edit: same thing using just ie8 as update.

Its hfslip.log consists that you are bringing up to date the Windows 2003 and not XP. The problem would not be occurring for conflict of hotfix of XP SP3 with this its system?

The activex bits hotfix is just an registry change. No files are inside the hotfix installer other than the necessary registry fixes.
