    I had the same problem and here's what I did to fix. It appears that the new x200 and t400s will not boot on the ACPI HAL. The fix was simple: Copy "Hall.dll" "ntoskrl.exe" and "ntkrnlpa.exe" (filenames may not be exact) from c:\windows\system32 from another XP system using the MULTIPROCESSOR HAL to my imaged drive. Immediately booted.

    I'm having the same problem, and I found this interesting twist If I take my imaged hard drive from a T61 and put it into the T400 (or x200) it boots just fine). I can't seem to figure out if this is a HAL issue due to the processor or if it's a graphics issue. PLEASE post more info if there's anybody out there who has worked on this!!!
