  1. Thank you, all of you guy for the tips. I tried a number of solutions for a silent uninstall of Google toolbar, but none did a truly silent (hidden) uninstall for me. After a bit of poking around, I found this command removes the Google Toolbar properly and quickly, and is completely silent and hidden: MsiExec.exe /X{DBEA1034-5882-4A88-8033-81C4EF0CFA29} /qn Have any of you tried it?
  2. Woohoo! Thanks, Tomalak! I've been looking and waiting for that for around 6 weeks. I'm glad it's finally out. Thanks for posting it :-)
  3. It's probably Windows Update Agent. Back around August 22nd or so, Microsoft started imposing a manditory update of the files (from version 7.0.6000.374 to version 7.0.6000.381). This update is currently available only through Windows Update or Microsoft Update. They haven't yet issued an updated standalone installer. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong about this. I've been waiting weeks for a new standalone installer, and would be happy to get this finally resolved as well.
  4. There's a really small and lightweight but fast and easy program you can use to check and see what Windows updates have been installed. It's called WinUpdatesList, and can be found at http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wul.html . It's completely free, and I use it fairly often. It seems to work well.
  5. Hello there. I had the same problem with my unattended DVD. It took a while, but finally I figured out that Microsoft's time zone fix was the cause. Frankly I was relieved, because it really freaked me out when everything kept setting to Afghanistan's time. Anyway, the problem was solved removing KB933360 from the HFSLIP HF folder. KB931836 should be removed too, if you haven't already. Tomcat76 has issued a fix for the time zone update. There's a zipped file you can download and extract the contents into the HFTOOLS folder. It will fix the time zone problem, and Windows Update won't prompt you to download KB931836 or KB933360. Here's a link to the fix: http://www.msfn.org/board/3rd_cumulative_t...p;mode=threaded If that link doesn't work, just Google "HFSLIP" and "KB933360" together and you'll find it. I hope this helps. This is my first post to the MSFN forums. I've been reading and learning here for several years, and signed up just now today because I thought maybe finally I could post something useful. BTW... I hope Microsoft isn't going to try to shut down the HFSLIP project. I noticed they shut down Autopatcher last month. I never used Autopatcher, but it's not a good sign.
