    SP3 problems

I am having problems with SP3. I have hacked up SP2 for a couple years now, but not sure about my SP3 problem. Using nLite 1.4.8. In the "copying files" there [1] seems to be randomly missing files after pulling components and [2] missing .ttf files (the same ones everytime). I cannot figure out what the issue is... used a XP Pro RTM cd and applied SP3... used the base XP Pro SP2 and applied SP3, and, obviously, the first time I integrated SP3 into my nLite'd SP2. On top of all that, I formatted a PC using XP Pro SP2 base and went through all three installs again... no anti-virus, anti-spyware, etc. Didn't even install the video or audio drivers lol I have been able to hit escape a bunch of times to get past the files, one in particular clockavi.bmp or something, but then some of the drivers don't install correctly? I user Driver Genious Pro to back them up, use nLite to integrate them, and always worked fine in SP2.
  3. well just keeping ntprint.inf does not work for pdfcreator!

    USB Mouse

I added these to the keep files section and the mouse now works: mousehid.sys hidclass.sys hidserv.dll
  5. I saw this post http://www.msfn.org/board/lofiversion/index.php/t24608.html but did not answer my question. If I am going to remove all XP drivers and keep the files I need to install doPDF and my LaserJet 1012, what files do I need to put in the advanced keep list?

    USB Mouse

Getting the ever great ! on "USB Device" under HID. It is an USB IBM Mouse. Also tried Dell, Lenovo, and MS mouse. Thumbdrive works great and I can read/write from it on same port. Searched for "USB MOUSE" and also went to fifth page.
  7. I am aware of how to copy an entire CD to hard drive, but how do I put the boot record from the XP CD onto the hard drive? For instance, if i386 is in harddrive:\xpcd\i386 how would I make the bootloader run the setup program? you know... the one that says ... setup is inspecting your hardware configuration My thinking is that windows setup will overwrite the boot sector and boot normally after the initial boot.

    CD will not boot

My cd will not boot. Have tried on multiple machines. Am using PowerISO and burning using boot.bin. Have also tried xpboot.bin and extracted arnes boot image.???. All computers access the CD then bypass to the next startup option. I selected "press any boot key" to disabled.
