  1. Right, I have a Dell L933r, Win xp. And I really dont like it. It has an unusually small case. Handy, yes. Good for me, no. It is VERY annoying, it doesnt have an extended slot for The GC, so you have to use the stock one, which isnt very good. Only 2 Ram slots. I wish my other pc worked, So bad. So, i got my other pc, which doesnt work, well does, but doesnt. Long story. so i unclipped the heat sink, and there was the processor, in this computer was a AMD Athlon 1.5Ghz, i was very happy from my finding. But when I did the same to my Dell, And tried to swap the processors, the slots were different. once again, the big man had taken another massive dump on my head. So, is there any way that i can get an AMD processor for the type of slot i have? Just tell me if you may need pictures and more info, Thanks. Oh and by the way, I'm only 14. =D

I have GTA: VC for pc, i was reading on the case of the game and looked at the system requirements for the game, they were; 800 MHz Intel Pentium III 128 MB of RAM And i dont really need to say all of the rest. My pc is; 930 MHz Intel Pentium III 128 MB of RAM They are the minimum system requirements. But, still the game runs slowly, it constantly starts ad stops, and is painfully annoying!! Does anyone have any suggestions??? Mikey5194.

  10. Well, i have and Windows Xp computer, with a 20g Hard Drive. Every time i turn it on it Hangs At "verifying DMI pool data" Then next to that peice of text it says "BOOT FROM CD: DISC BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISC So, i put in my xp boot disc which i made on the pc by formatting it to an ms-dos start-up disc and adding the two extra files, (NTDETECT and NTLDR) So, Now It Says, starting... A:\>mode con codepage prepare =((850) ega.cpi) MODE prepare code page function completed A:\>mode con codepage select=850 MODE select code page function completed A:\>keyb uk,,keybrd2.sys A:\> A:\> And that is all it does, i can hold CTRL+F8 and it will ask me all the same questions but i have to awnser them with Y or N i was thinking that my boot disc might be wrong, or not have all the required files on it. But, i'm not sure myself, so i have posted my problem on the forums, hoping that someone could try to offer some help, so, if you could, lend me your thouhts. Thanks. Mikey5194.
  11. I have tried, when you type either ctrl-c, ctrl-q or ctrl-x it brings up the letter with a little arrow to the left hand side of the letter, if you type anything it repeats the process but afterwards beeps and brings up command after command, they are not readable and I do not understand what they mean? what is up with that?
  12. Hi people of msfn forums, i had some old dos games so i decided to put them on my windows 98, i tried to play a game called stunt driver, but i didnt set up the program, i just went straight to the game file. my pc shut down and then started up the program as it usually does, it says windows 98 is starting your ms-dos based program C:\ And then lets you write a comand/directory for the game, you write anything and it goes to another screen with loads of scrolling words taking up the whole screen you can hold any button and the internal pc speaker will bleep loudly but it will slow them all down, there are ramdom commands like death, moo, crash, tyres and things like that, a bit later on all of the words stop and the pc will stay like that until you reset it, when you reset it, it repeats the same thing when it starts up all over again! i need serious help and think this maybe a virus!
