  1. Hello Everyone, I am just trying to understand what's the deal with the Nero 8 Micro version that has been released on various sites. I just read the post above that says it is a warez version. What does that mean? I am a legitimate key holder for Nero but prefer to use the Micro version. So do I infringe on something if I use that version? I also noticed that a post about Nero 8 Micro was locked. Could someone explain this to me? I am also wondering whether the Nero 7.10.1.0 Micro has been abandoned or what? Is there only a lite version now? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand the situation. Thanks.
  2. Unfortunaly my internet was down for a few days and now I come back and it seems there is no final "Micro" version for Nero 7.10.1.0 Did I miss something? What happened to its development and where could I possibly download it? Cheers for replies.
  3. Ok, I don't know if anyone is interested in this, but I had been really annoyed at the Nero Splash Screen that flickers very quickly before the program starts. So I took things in my own hand and figured out a easy way to remove it. I used a program called ResHacker and opened the nero.exe file that is installed in my computer. Then under the folder of "bitmap", there are a couple of folders called NeroXPSplash. I deleted them all. Ok, not done yet. Now go to the folder called "Dialog" - you'll see another folder called IDD_AHEAD_SPLASHSCREEN - you click on sub-file "1033" and in the right side window change IDD_AHEAD_SPLASHSCREEN DIALOGEX 34, 22, 338, 182. It should look like this - IDD_AHEAD_SPLASHSCREEN DIALOGEX 0, 0, 0, 0. That's it. Save that .exe file and you're done. You may want to keep a backup of the original .exe just in case. But this works for me, and now, no more annoying Nero Splashscreen. Nero Micro looks better than ever for me! Cheers.
  4. So..hmm..anyone, is it possible for a no splash screen version?
  5. I just want to thank the makers of this lite/micro version. I had been searching the net for days looking for a light alternate to Nero but just couldn't find anything I liked. That is until I found this. Thank you, Thank you. I am surprised that Nero themselves would not make something that is so much in demand these days, which is a quality, user-friendly, non-bloatware light version of a software meant to do simple things such as burning. I am also curious about 1 thing. When I run Nero micro, it is very fast, however it still shows the New Splash Screen very quickly Sometimes it is so quick that it flickers a little. Is it possible just to remove the nero splash screen altogether?
