  1. Solved it, but not quite sure how... the only change I can think of that I made was to go into security tab for C:\, change permissions for 'everyone' to full, then change them back to nothing. Bizarre.
  2. Hi - I have a problem with Windows File Sharing; accessing the 'root' of a computer. I have two computers - pc1 and pc2, both XP Pro. pc1 can access pc2's folder shares, e.g. \\pc2\SharedDocs but if trying to access pc2's 'root' (\\pc2), I get an access denied error message. I've tried all the settings I can think of (no firewall, try just by IP instead of name, disable/enable file sharing, simple file sharing on/off, check Computer Browser service is running) to no avail. Please, does anyone know of a solution?
