    hmm.. worked fine till the moment to start the service. it fails to the defender service, tried the manual way as well... thanx, but i am not reinstalling windows just for that

    thanx for that! seems you used the installation package for 64 bit, but my system is 32 bit. or at least i got an error like "the installation is not supported on this system"...

    hi, i removed windows defender from the vista installation by accident, and now i would like to install it. after downloading it from the MS site, i tried installing it but got the massage "defender is installed with vista" is it possible to reinstall defender now or would i have to reinstall windows with the original disc to get it? thanx
