Hey everyone - I am considering trying out vLite, but first I wanted to find out if there are any documented performance increases. Right now, on my 3.6GHz 4GB Raptor system with ReadyBoost (on a fast USB Drive) and 8800GTX (and 7950GT for 2 more monitors) it takes my system well over 60 seconds to completely load Vista x64 to the point where I can start using it after I log in. I don't even have Dev Studio or SQL installed! The only thing I have installed that's a big 'suite' is Office 2007. Anyway, I'm tired of Vista taking forever to boot and running like crap regardless of the hardware I throw at it. Can anyone provide details on how vLite can improve my performace - not just hypothetically, but practically and proven? Thanks!
