  1. Hello, back from holiday.

    2.

    I can play Realstreams in my browser... but no RAM and no RM (only the audio plays) playback in MPC.

    the errors I get:

    RAM: Cannot Render the file

    I think it is mpc problem.

    In MPC try to put .rm .ram .ra in Real Script File (see attachement) not to use RealMedia & RealAudio file(DirectShow) but RealMedia

    Is it working?

    If not can you give me sample of playback that doesn't work?

  2. @jmbattle

    you are right, i need to add:

    HKCU,Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences\VideoSettings,"EnableDXVA_WMV",0x00010001,"1"

    @ZileXa

    ReaLite/QtLite is based on Real/Quicktime Alternatives but without MPC and without some files which are not useful for the basic use.

    Same for ffdshowlite

  3. @jmbattle

    i am thinking on an unique setup for supporting multiple package (WM, QT, RM ...) and better customization.

    Conserning QTtask.exe, normally it must not start after reboot.

    will add control panel applet for QT

    @bucketbuster

    ffdshowLite support defaut video codec of full package

    I saw a small issue with ffdshow, i will see that

    @bucketbuster

    1) you are right, but don't forget this is experimental parckage

    2) I will update package with new version.

    3) yes silently, just run setup

    New job, new home, no www at home for next 2 or 3 week.

    I will try to go on the forum when I can

    I hope the new package will be ready when i will come back.

  4. I think the best way is to keep a package for each codec so that we can install only what we need.

    I will release for me a package with wmv, ogg, real, mov and ffdshow. So i will also share it .

    @eben

    what error did you get?

    For MPC, i don't understand what you want to. Do you want an installer to put mpc as the default media player? In this case you only need mplayerc.exe, put it somewhere and run mplayerc.exe /regvid /regaud

  5. @coch

    I used your process here but i add and register 'rmoc3260.dll'

    -------------

    Now that all seems to work, it's time to think of an unique package.

    WM10, Quicktime, Real are ready

    I am thinking of 'libavcodec' from ffdshow and audio ogg codec.

    What do you think about that? Yes, No, More Codec, Less Codec?

  6. Hi does this mean you got streaming in both Firefox and IE working, would you mind indicating what was missing from my original process?

    same process but i register QTPlugin.ocx before copying QuickTime.qts in system32

    Don't forget Opera :P

    In QuicktimeAlt and RealAlt there is all plugin for (Firefox, Opera, Mozilla and netscape) I don't know how to use it and which one you need. You probably need to put it in a special folder like for firefox.

    do we need the ocx files? and IE support?

    Its so that i'm not one that like to support ActiveX, the component which makes IE so unsafe.

    only Mozilla browser support would be nice.

    titou2k, can you please make 2 packs one for ie and one for mozilla browsers.

    I don't think i will make a pack for each browser.

    It depends of where you install your browser.

    You should make a simple pack with all plugins you need (flash, quicktime, real, wmv...) and install it in the same time of your browser.

    But i can make a special pack without IE ActiveX support. (i don't know if it will work after, i can test)

    EDIT: for example msdxm.ocx is needed for firefox so...

  7. @coch

    Your lite process to install quicktime codec works but i have 1 pb:

    If i copy and register QTPlugin.ocx with QuickTime.qts in the same folder, then the streaming doesn't work and a 0 byte QuickTime.qtp file is created.

    Did you notice this problem?
