  1. Well not really a super hero, but it does make a catchy introduction. I bid you all hello! I've recently finished my 2nd part of the 4 part CISCO CCNA Academy courses. Hopefully I'll take my CCNA exam sometime early next year and get paid well for making sure one company's own little corner of the internet doesn't implode. Unfortunately, its not till recently I've had the money for a home lab, and my class time was limited to academic study and tests, so I haven't had as much hands-on as I would've liked until now. Hopefully though I'll be able to peruse the networking sections of this site to help me catch up on and make sure I understand both theory AND practice. Thanks for reading, hope to see you out there on the forums =)
  2. Hey, thanks ahead of time to anyone who answers this. I'm a student in CISCO's CCNA Academy. Working towards taking my test and getting my cert sometime next year. I recently went on a bit of a spending spree to get myself some equipment for a mini-lab at home. To get to the meat of the question... I know that a router can perform DCE/DTE functions. Which as I understand it is basically the function of the modem my ISP supplied me with for my 3.0 Mbps DSL service. My question is, would it be possible for my wireless router (properly programmed) to fulfill that role? Would I need to call my ISP to get any specific information? I apologize if the above question does not provide adequate information for a full answer. If any additional information is needed, I'll be happy to supply it. =)
