  1. Hauppauge! WinTV-HVR-1600, Windows 7 RC and Media Center is giving me hard time. First it got stuck trying to download TV guide info, did a little searching and found out mcupdate.exe had to be working. I ended up creating a link on my desktop to "C:\Windows\ehome\mcupdate.exe -manual -nogc -p" and once the guide download started, clicked on it and it worked perfectly. From there MC examines my TV signals, but unfortunately another brick wall has arisen, I can freely setup my tuner as normal, everything is fine but just before the tuner scans the channels I get hit with this error... "TV Setup Cannot Continue : TV Setup has encountered a serious problem. Select finish to exit, then try again. If the problem persists, restart Windows Media Center or your computer. : PRERELEASE Exception: Element not found. (Exception from HRESULT 0x80070490)" My Hauppauge HVR 1600 Tuner is working fine, I can use WinTV app within Windows 7, but for some reason it wont work in 7MC? I know others can get TV working in 7MC but for some reason I can't anyone have any suggestions or steps which I may have forgotten? Any help? Thanks guys.
  2. Ok guys, I have a Sony VGC-RC210G HTPC, it shipped with 2x160GB drives in RAID0 config. Yesterday I got 2 more 160GB drives and I want to add them to my config but can I do this without losing all my current data in the original configuration? I have the Intel Matrix Storage Manager, and checked out the options right after booting, but seems like I'd lose all my data creating a new config. Just need some info. Thanks all.
  3. The NIC is Intel® PRO/1000 PM Network Connection and I am using Win7 driver that was installed with the OS.I have Avast however the problem existed before I installed Avast. Firewall is also Win7 built-in.
  4. Guys, I am so fed up with this. I love the OS, don't want to go back to Vista, but this ONE problem is eventually going to make me. Help me fix it please. Websites with Flash video or other flash features, like even Google Maps, during the download of these videos causes my network connection to go "limited connectivity" Simply, connection just drops. Troubleshoot doesn't find any problems, and the only way to fix it is to enable and disable the network adapter only to drop the connection again. The way I can only watch YouTube videos are to pause the video immediately, wait until it buffered the whole thing and then watch it. If it is HQ or HD, forget that too. Is there anyway to fix this??? If I don't go to flash sites, internet works fine.
  5. What is the reason I can not set my DPI less than anything 100% of 96 DPI? I usually try to match the ruler with an actual one, and that usually matches with 88% to 92% in various resolutions I use. XP worked this fine however not Vista? Is there a way to do it?
