Sweet Thanx AaronXP The only problem i have now is when i apply a custom theme i made (via Save as... feature in Display Properties) it creates little white boxes around File, Edit, View, Tools, Help etc. in many programs such as Notepad and MSN Messenger?! I thought is was an issue with the uxtheme.dll but if that is okay what else could it be? Thanks

Here's a copy of my setuperr.log file: *** Error: Setup detected that the system file named [c:\windows\system32\uxtheme.dll] is not signed properly by Microsoft. This file could not be restored to the correct Microsoft version. Use the SFC utility to verify the integrity of the file. *** Is this normal? Did the uxtheme.dll copy over fine even though it is not signed by MS? Thanks

So what's the verdict on installing the Rollup 1 without slipstreaming it? But rather install it like a normal Type 1 Hotfix? Please help me out Thanks

Can anyone here verify that installing the Rollup (Q826939) like any other hotfix? And i have all the hotfixes posted on the first page of this Topic but could someone the best order to install them in? i.e Rollup then by # order? Thanks

Does Q282784 need to be installed as a Hotfix in svcpack.inf?

XtremeMaC: I installed Q282784_WXP_SP1_x86_ENU.exe and nothing happened?!? How do i check to see which updates are installed. Anyways im not using a slipstream method for rollup 1 but rather just running it as any other hotfix. Is this a problem? Shoulod it be higher on the list? Could someone let me know? I deleted svcpack.dl_ so maybe that is the problem. But for some reason i don't think rollup is installed even though it is shown in add/remove programs. Where can i get qfecheck so i can see?

That's correct, Q823980 is superceded by Q824146, as it states this under the heading "Security Patch Replacement Information" in Q824146's KB Article I believe this is incorrect because i just installed Rollup 1 (which includes Q824146) And i just got shutdown becuase of that stupid RPC Code error (60 seconds to shutdown) Then i installed Q823980 and the problem is fixed. AaronXP could u explain this? Thanks EDIT: Acually now that i'm looking at was is included in the Rollup both of those files are shown included. Then why was i shut down?!?!? And why did applying that old fix work? I must not have installed the rollup correct? Yet Windows XP Hotfix KB826939 is shown in the add/remove app menu? Could someone help me install it correctly (i don't want to slipstream) i just want to run it as another hotfix in my svcpack.inf file. Can someone tell me why all my programs (i.e MSN Messenger, mIRC, FlashFXP) have these ugly white box's around the item in the toolbar (i.e File, Edit, View, Help)?!?!? They cannot be found on IE or Windows Explorer so i have no clue where they are coming from. It could be this line in my winnt.sif: [Shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%systemroot%\Resources\Themes\Longhorn.theme" Because someone told me that is was because my theme was doing it, and they are semi-right becuase if i re-apply the default Windows XP Theme they go away?!? But if this is true does that mean i can't install a custom theme on my Unattended CD? If anyone can shed some light on this i would appreciate it... Thanks
