  1. Hmmm… forgives for this lack of attention. :blushing:

Did not remember to have placed these dll's in folder $OEM$. :o Already I made a research for dll's duplicates and removed the ones that already had been integrated of folder $OEM$.

I'm initiating a new installation to test. And also I placed all the programs that are not service pack or seemed in folder HFGUIRUNONCE. My next step is remove all files from $OEM$ to HFEXPERT\WIN and delete $OEM$.

I find that now the problem will be solved. And waiting for next release beta to test if the problem with Win2K3 time zone update was also solved.

    Very grateful! :thumbup

p.s. screem dump saves time! :D

  2. Tomcat76 ,

Ok... Info wmvcore.dll on c:\winnt\system32\ before install:

    Version: 9.0.0.3287

    Language: English (EUA)

Very strange... version of wmvcore.dll included on KB923689 downloaded from microsoft download is 7.10.0.3079.

After windows update in my compliation, version of wmvcore.dll is 9.0.0.3353

I already re-download KB923689 from microsoft downloads (windows 2000 portugues brasil) and version of wmvcore.dll in hotfix is 7.10.0.3079.

    I'm very, very confused!

  3. Now.... this is a windows update seen fault on my latest compilation:

Atualização para o Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 Service Pack 1 (KB934268)

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...ab-3e9827b70604

    This above i refer a msxml6_x86.msi...

Atualização de segurança para o Windows 2000 (KB923689)

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...e6-e6db202b41d5

This above is problematic update... have this on HF folder but not integrate.

Well.... if msxml6-KB927977-x86-ptb.exe conflict, i remove it and try again in next compilation. I expect this solve a first problem with KB934268.

Now build next compilation and in more or less 40 minutes have a result... I expected only KB923689 fault. :angel

    HFSLIP LOG of this compilation:

    HFSLIP.rar

  4. Ok... KB931836 is related to "Time Zone" and "Day Light Saver" update. I use this because use a database and use a some time zone, especialy for entrys with EUA time zone.

Windows2000-KB904706-v2-x86-PTB.exe - Is removed from HF folder now.

I use MDAC 2.8 SP1 downloaded from here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...e0-3a1afbd5922e

This is a MDAC_TYP.EXE in HF folder.

KB92779.EXE is a little "hack" in a two archives relate to MDAC 2.8 to replace this archives. Is not important, and can be removed from tests (i already test withou this), but is not interfer on KB927779 update.

I use MDAC281-KB927779-x86-ENU.exe because my windows updated refer a english version on updated. If use a PTB version, windows updadate get again to updates KB927779... Very Strange. Probably bug in windows update or MDAC 2.8 Update.

Well... i donloaded AGAIN MDAC 2.8 SP1 from your page (link above) and replace on HF Folder. Removed temporaly KB92779.EXE from HFSVCPACK, And removed MDAC281-KB927779-x86-ENU.exe and replaced to MDAC281-KB927779-x86-PTB.exe from here:

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...splayLang=pt-br

    Results below:

    HFSLIP.rar

    HFANSWER.rar

    HFSLIP_SCREEN_DUMP.rar

p.s. I add HFANSWER and HFSLIP_SCREEN_DUMP to look more detailed process.

And now i try to install this ISO in virtual PC only for check windows updated ask again to get KB923989.

In a Few minutes i edit this post with results.

  5. I Again!

HFSlip not integrate KB923989? I have this fix in HF folder, but windows update require this to update before w2k instaled. See image:

    t_kb923689m_5ae6750.jpg

And KB931836 exit two copy errors:

    WindowsServer2003-KB931836-x86-PTB.exe

Já existe um arquivo com o mesmo nome

ou o arquivo não pode ser encontrado.

Já existe um arquivo com o mesmo nome

ou o arquivo não pode ser encontrado.

    TEMP\spmsg.dll

    TEMP\spuninst.exe

    TEMP\tzchange.exe

    3 arquivo(s) copiado(s)

The message in translated approach Portuguese for the English is: Already an archive with name exists the same or the archive cannot be found.

    Thank's again anticipated. :angel

  6. Tomcat76,

Thank's again. Now working correctly. IE6 is splitstreamed and reg tweaks work again. Probably is corruption from IE5 and OE 5.5 hotfixes.

About shotcut in start menu, explain:

I want to add explorer shotcut to top of start menu, and remove icons created by default (Windows update, microsoft update, etc...) and replace in programs/acesssories shotcut to CMD.EXE and Explorer.exe to my custom shotcuts.

And add custom shotcuts to QuickLaunch.

    Agi Hammerklau

I abandoned nLite because a very strange fact occours in w2k splitstreamed with this. Some programs not working correctly in w2k sliptstreamend with nlite.

Manual? ahahah... well... i read manual... but a LOT of doubt banal are not treated in the manual. The manuals always seem to mention the expert people. But to slow i learn! ;)

  7. Hmmmm.... very strange! This related updates are reported on here:

    http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_win2k.html

But, i removed now hotfix for IE5 and OE 5.5 and replaced KB917344 to KB917344-56-x86.

In this moment HFSlip compiling and sliptream W2k.

I go to install the W2k in the VPC and place the results here in some minutes.

Ah... any tips from problem with regteak or this is related to problem with IE6 sliptstream?

And from better way to add/remove/replace icons on start menu during install?

    Thanks!

  8. I tried to use HFSlip 1.5.0 but this not integrate correctly Internet Explorer 6 SP1. HFSlip 1.4.5 work perfectly.

    See error in this image:

    f_IE6m_92ac960.jpg

Other: My RegTwak also not working in 1.5.0. I have place regteak.reg in folder HFSVCPACK.

Another question: What best way to place and remove icons in a start menu from HFSlip during install?

    My HFSlip LOG:

    HFSLIP_LOG.TXT

  9. Hello... Where I can find a list of hotfixes obsolete that they can be removed from folder HF without prejudice?

My folder have 91 fixes, but during slipt some updates as 0 files copied. This fixes is obsolete and can be removed?

    Sorry for newbye question. :blushing:

    Thank's.

  10. Hello, I a new user of HFSLIP, and migrating from N-lite to HFSlip, for finding this more flexible one.

They put I am finding a problem that I don't know the cause or solution.

My HFSlip this located in the following location:

    D:\Win2K\HFSlip

It is inside of this local one they count whole the folders created automatically and some that created following a tutorial for more advanced use.

They put I am having a problem in the hour of the creation of ISO. Inside of the paste HFTOOLS, has BOOT.BIN, extracted with bbie.exe of my CD of the windows 2000 SP2.

But the HFSlip report the following when trying to create ISO:

    Creating ISO...

Warning: creating filesystem that does not conform to ISO-9660.

Warning: creating filesystem with (nonstandard) Joliet extension

but without (standard) Rock Ridge extensions.

It is highly recommended to add Rock Ridge

HFTOOLS/mkisofs: Uh oh, I cant find the boot image 'BOOT.BIN' !

    Your ISO is here: D:\Win2K\HFSlip\win2k.iso

The ISO file has 34Kb and not any file inside.

Inside of HFTOOLS I have mkisofs.exe and the cygwin1.dll and the boot.bin and even so it doesn't work. The boot.bin is been worth because I use it to create the ISO bootable from Ultra-ISO and I get to use ISO and to install in my Microsoft Virtual PC.

    Can anybody help me?

    Thankful! Luciano.
