Without any kind of errors, this is a shot in the dark Looking at some Microsoft Knowledge base articles, there are XP (32bit) installs on AMD 64bit machines. Depends on the type of error you are getting. From the get-go, with a HP PC which I have, you need to load the sata (hard disk) drivers. Here is how I was able to do the install: Download sata drivers from HP, assuming your PC has Sata drive(s) Extract these drivers to a floppy disk Do the windows Xp install and when requested to add drivers (Forgot the syntax, f6 I believe to add mass drivers or something like that) insert the floppy disk Not a PC with a floppy disk or a laptop? Create a folder either d:\winxp or d:\winxpsp2 on separate PC, assuming you have 2 partitions C: and D: Copy your Windows Xp install disc to a folder on a separate PC: D:\winxp or D:\winxpsp2 Download sata (hard disk) drivers from HP Extract these drivers to a floppy disk Copy these drivers from the floppy disk to a folder you created on the separate PC "D:\HPdrivers" D:\HPdrivers Download nLite from nLiteos.com and install on the separate PC nLite will ask where your distribution/source is, point this to your folder D:\winxp or D:\winxpsp2 nLite will/can also ask about drivers (click the drivers button, when asked, point to D:\HPdrivers nLite will/can create a .iso file of your windows Xp install plus the sata drivers for your HP PC. You will need software that can burn .iso files ***Note, You should not get prompted for "mass drivers" Boot with your new disc and install
