I’ve started having problems cutting and pasting in most Microsoft Office programs. Frequently when I cut and paste into a different document or another part of the same document, it will paste in a screen dump of the current screen instead. It affects me in Word the most, but also happens in Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. It happens frequently, but this example explains what I’m currently doing and what has infuriated me enough to ask for help on a forum. I’m working in Word. I want to copy a paragraph at the top of the document to the end of the document. I copy the text and click control-page down to take me to the end. If I click control-V I get a screen dump inserted of the current screen. If I scroll down instead, and click control-V, it pastes the correct text. Also I often want to keep pasting the same text over and over again in different applications, but now frequently when I come to paste again, it no longer remembers the last copied text. Its not that I've copied another piece of text, but that it no longer has any text in its memory. This started to happen a couple of months ago. I assumed that there is a setting I’ve accidentally altered, but I can’t find it if there is. I’ve tried searching the web, but “cut and paste” or “screen dump” are not fruitful keywords and I haven’t managed to find anything describing the problems I’m having. Can anyone tell me how to correct this?
