i couldnot install any version now (nero lite or nero premium :-( ) i would wait for your new nero lite version then.

major, did you really tried to test? guys there is no use to find out something wrong with my procedure, i just random found the error. I tried mpeg1 file yesterday, the result is the same.

raghul, i prepared one avi file, and one mpeg II file (i encode with super), even if i specify mpeg 2 to burn to vcd, it won't. I do know how to encode files though, i just guessing if nero try to use other apps in bundle to analyse and recode when it comes to authoring. Now another problem araise: install nero lite, and i can't install nero full package to test :-(

yeah, i understand your meaning. When nero burn to a vcd, that video clip must be mpeg format (VCD Player only read mpeg format). No matter type of input (avi or mpeg), nero will always check the format and encode it to mpeg if neccessary (I tried both mpeg and avi, both of them made nero crash). I guess the problem is nero does not have the checking and encoding tools necessary, so when it attempt to analyse the media (not even encode), it fails and crash. ONly guess though. Regards

i guess the problem is, nero premium does not have encoding tools, it rely on other software on the package to encode it. Since this piece of software missing, when it try to read avi and encode it, it would just break down. so i will find the encoding software and report bakc.

After a while using your version, its really good and stable however, only one problem is, when im trying to burn video cd, after i drag or add video files into video windows (i used new complition wizard), the program automatically quit, both nero and nero express. i don't know if it does concern with your work, but did you any chance left out some encode/decode package when compile nero lite? i reckon nero lite need codec when take video in and burn it to video cd. Hi Major, I'm sorry about the mistake in my previous posts. I had a look again and Nero Express was installed. Nero Burning Rom let me created HD DVD and Blueray Disc, but Nero Express doesnot. I hope you will create a single version of Nero Lite which work on all version of Vista (there are 5 i think) and windows Xp, and incorporate MauSau plugins. Thx.

i'm afraid not, accessdenied, since the registration only disappear when you fill the serialz at the very beginning of setup.

hi Major, I reinstalled it as you ask, and this is how it look like However, i have just found out that if i click on the ? icon in nero express, and open help file, the setup will close nero express and finish. How interesting is that! Btw, my laptop is centrino 1.7mhz 512mb ram, and other 2 pcs i test is ibm x31 and hp pentium 4. yours sincerely,

I also tried the RC version, it doesnot work either unfortunately. btw, for matter of interest, is there any problem with not having install nero wave editor? why do you include it? Does it concern with the normalize and no pause between tracks when burning audio cd? or what else does it do? best regards,

hi guys, thx for your reply. actually no, im using windows xp home, and still got the problem of setup doesnot go through. I try on 2 others computer (windows xp pro) of my friend, they all got the same problem. I don't know why. It stuck at the nero express windows, and the only way i can have it finish it, is to right click nero script icon in system tray and click "quit". i afraid the setup not completed and might incur some problems in future. the nero express windows look like this : note: I reproduced the image, as i'm just lazy to install it again, however it look just exactly the same. btw, is the plugin of dvd-video include in this nero lite? (http://www.nero.com/ena/DVD_Video_Plug_in_InfoPage.html), am i able to burn dvd video from an mpeg file? what does the plugin do indeed? (encoding?) any suggestion? thx
