I have upgraded to Vista Ultimate from Win XP MCE. Everything else works fine. I have noticed that the power options or power meter icon in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties is grayed out and cannot be added to the system tray (notification area). Is this by default or is this a malfunction? Thank you. PS Sorry I have a destop not a laptop Thanks

Thanks. I have reinstalled it on my desktop as a networkprinter and shared it and it works fine. I guess my problem was I thought this printer supports a primary network installation (e.g. installation on a network drive). Thanks again.

I have a Maxtor Shared Network drive. I have tried installing my Dell printer 720. But I cannot print to it. I get an error which says that computer cannot communicate with the printer. I have checked all the connections and reinstalled several times. Network Printer and File Sharing is enabled. I have two computers - one Vista Ultimate, the other Vista Business. I have also noticed that under the printer properties, there is no port assigned to the printer. Is this a printer compatibility issue? Granted that the printer is very cheap one though. I am told to install the driver on both the storage drive and the individual computers. Any help please? Thanks. K.
