  1. I have only slipstreamed one sp i.e sp3. Started with an existing sp2 install and slipstreamed in 3.
  2. Yes the winnt.sif is in the i386 folder, I will try adding the OemFilesPath and see if that makes any difference. I started with a slipstreamed sp2 adding 3 to it along with afew hotfixes. I do have quite afew session ini's by now but here is the last one attached LAST_SESSION.INI
  3. Hi all I have previously created a slipstream sp2 with extras with nlite which worked fine now I have been trying to do a new sp3 for 2009 but xp just acts like a standard install whatever I do it doesn't even copy the $oem$ directory to the hard disk let alone parse the winnt.sif its doing my head in because I cant see anything wrong! So if anyone has any ideas would be most welcome. I will elaborate on the setup. The $oem$ folder is at the root with $1 as a sub-folder the winnt.sif is ; Generated by nLite 1.4.9.1 [Data] AutomaticUpdates="No" Autopartition=0 MsDosInitiated=0 UnattendedInstall="Yes" [unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended UnattendSwitch="Yes" OemPreinstall="Yes" OemSkipEula="Yes" FileSystem=* WaitForReboot="No" NoWaitAfterTextMode=1 NoWaitAfterGUIMode=1 DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore NonDriverSigningPolicy=Ignore [Display] Xresolution=800 Yresolution=600 BitsPerPel=16 [systemRestore] MaximumDataStorePercentOfDisk=10 [GuiUnattended] EncryptedAdminPassword="No" AutoLogon="Yes" AdminPassword=* TimeZone=085 OEMSkipRegional=1 OemSkipWelcome=1 [shell] CustomDefaultThemeFile="%WinDir%\Resources\Themes\Zune.Theme" [Components] [userData] ProductKey="xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx" ComputerName=* FullName="Aubsoft" [RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=1 Language= "0809" [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents="Yes" I still get the eula with this, just like a standard install! The file is standard ansi coding. the setupp.ini has the last three digits of the pid as 270 which is the same as the sp2 version that works.
  4. hi I have used nlite to create a slipstreamed cd that contains all the updates up to june 2007. This goes though a fully unattended install ok. However once installed nearly all the services that are set to automatic fail to start with windows(plug and play terminal services and windows auio starts but none of the others. I can start each individual service fine, and it will be fine until the next reboot when none of them will start again. This is on a fresh install, indeed have tried it on more than 1 machine so isn't a virus or anything like that causing it. The registry keys in the currentcontrol set are correct i.e the start is set to "2" and the other keys correspond correctly to a correctly working system. A bootlog text doesnt show anything to go on and as for the event log that is one of the services that isnt starting - despite according to microsoft (on the services tab) this service cannot be stopped. Has anybody else come across this behaviour and if not does anyone have any suggestions where to look next to try and resolve this problem thanks
