What do you mean? It's already out on the market in systems by HP and Sony.

No, the whole system needs to be certified. You can’t just build a system around the card, and you will need the software to use it. The only legal way to do this is paying loads of money, or to "mod" a system from your cable company if the have computers systems with it...

I know that, That's why I'm asking for for a motherboard and an internal CableCard tuner from a Velocity Micro PC. To circumvate that, Cause the motherboard has to be certified and have the BIOS on it.

I don't know, But does this apply to the Video Card being certified or are you saying I can't take the Motherboard out and use it to recieve CableCARD.

I wonder what OS you will be using, hardware isn’t the problem, it’s the software and driver support of the CableCARD.

Well if you have newer hardware, Windows ME would be a good choice since it removes real-mode dos allowing for almost 2GBs of RAM to be used.

im pretty sure i ran 98se on a computer which had ht enabled but you can disable it anyway

so i found some issues in NVidia drivers and send similar request to devs but they just said that the win9x projects are discontinued. Just try to wait if they release new version of this driver, or try to find older version somewhere...
next choice is to find a way how to upgrade rundll32 for these purposes.
I can't find any but I know that CMDNINST.exe and COMMCTRL.DLL runs all the managing of drivers, If there is anyway to force the hardware on there?

what do you mean, SU182! the ME service pack usually contains bug fixes to ME. be more specific.

Normally it is should possible I think but I have never done it.
Infinst.exe from the Windows 98SE CD (in the reskit folder I think) is the tool you need.

Well writing a driver takes knowledge on how the hardware works but a conversion may be easier.
