  3. system restore just sucks!!. Especially in case of Viral infections where the files in Custody of system Restore Can not be tracked down by AV software. If u like to backup the system state of the machine -- Use NTbackup instead & make a system State backup. Else if a Dot by dot backup is Required then u can Choose some ghosting Software as mentioned by other Seniors
  4. I have been able to make unattended install of most of the common Appz through batch files which can be used either after installing the OS or at the RUNONCE stage. I was wondering if we can package all the software into one Big pkg . We can make an eaasy to use Deployment pkg. I came across a softwrae called "Stardust Setup Packager 3.0.104." which was just fit to what i wanted bu there s onlyone Prob. There is no option to select what all applications i want to install & second & the most terrible , the interface of the Software does not allow u to pass argument or Parameters to the underlying pkgs so that there unattend Silent install can be Performed. Can some one just mug Around & feel like taking this a Step ahead. Basically i want to run a SETUP that compriese of common pkgs like winzip, rar, NERO, msn msngr, yahoo in silent install mode & also that the master setup Gives me option of selecting the Individual Pkgs to install cos some of the comps may not be requiring msn msngr or Yahoo

  6. has anyone figured out the silent install of MusicMatch jukebox 9. Its an Installshield Packed setup. i tried using the /s /r /a switches but no luck. the setup pkg also has a setup.iss file but i've never been able to make the installation Silent. strangely there is no Page on whole msfn also which Discusses its Silent installation
  7. I have nlite & have been using it-- i have seen the "SCSI" option under the Drivers Section. just confirm me if i choose to delete them -- they will be removed from the text setup part of the bootable CD??
  8. I was wondering if there is a possibbility of cutting down the SCSI drivers that are loaded while the 2k or Xp bootable CD boots. actually in my typicall Scenario i never deal with SCSi hardware at all- nor do we need any kind of Raid support -so if i can avoid the loading of those unwanted drivers at cd's boot time - i think i can Significanlty lower the time taken by the Bootable CD. thx

  11. hi i managed to make a Multi boot CD with windows 2000 & XP on it. the total Size of the disk now is "480 mb". I was wondering if there is a Possibility where we can reduce the SIZE of OFFICE 2003 Setup source as well. Typically office 2k3 is "331 mb" so the total will be "811 mb " which is not Possible with CD-R. If we can Reduce the Size by some 120 mb than i think we can just have a great uattend multiboot cd
