I'm on Windows 7 64-bit with Nod32 installed. I downloaded and installed SFXMaker and there was no warning at all about anything malware. I assume you are using Microsoft Security Essentials ?

Most likely, it's a false positive. I can't test it now because i'm on Windows XP, but i'll investigate further when i will have a Windows 7 system

Hi In your case, SFXMaker cannot recognize the silent switches of the installer. The detection engine is a bit outdated, will be updated in the next version. Until then, the best choice for you is to search for switches online

I'm involved in too many projects and it's very hard to handle them when you work singular. That's why i would like to set up a mini Development Team, but no one seems to be interested. However, i will have a lot of free time in the summer, when maybe i will begin coding a new tool for addons only. Maybe ...

@Kiki Burgh : I would be crazy to expand the functionality of SFXMaker to create addons too. It would be too much work involved, major changes in the source code, GUI redesign. Plus, i know little about addons creation, but that's documentable. (Hmm, i smell a new tool ) @sirmor_xp and urie : I said in an earlier post that i could add an option to let you edit config.txt (which will let you do what you asked for), but you can do this with a batch file, which is already supported in SFXMaker. Anyway, i would like to set up a Development Team for SFXMaker, with bug tracker and all the stuff. Anyone interested, but capable, can apply for this on the official forums or here. You have just to know to code in AutoIT. Waiting for your replies !

Just to clear up things. SFXMaker is a tool designed to create switchless installers, not addons. It supports already to create nLite Addons (addons that can be integrated/slipstreamed with nLite) for the installers you create with SFXMaker. The purpose of this topic was for users of SFXMaker to ask for new things they would like to see implemented. If you would like to see something new, please be more specific. Glad you like SFXMaker !

Not every installer supports silent switches. For this kind of installers you have to do deep research, for silent switches, if they have any, or to create scripts that will do the mouse clicks for you, silently. SFXMaker was never intended for this kind of stuff, it's a tool that will allow you to create switchless installers for the most common installers that support switches. Moreover, SFXMaker will allow you to create silent installers within directories, which i presume is what you have to do with your IconPackager software (software installer + AutoIT script etc ...)

@ radix : 1. You mean that the switchless installer is not working as it should ? Please be more explicit 2. Version change always worked for. I will test again and see what i can do. 3. That's actually the Translation Version. 4. I think that's easy fixable. @jamesbebby : That's a little bit tricky, because i have no space left in the main GUI. Expanding GUI will be a solution, but that needs a lot of parameters modification. I'll try anyway to come with a more configurable config.txt, maybe not in the next version. How do I use the tool to enter this information and create the EXE? Also what does create Nlite Addon do, is that grab the entries file from somewhere? Hi, You have to select the file you want to create a switchless installer for, specify the switches and a path for the switchless installer basically. Anyway, i write a manual for the next version. Hi, Just did a test and it worked fine for me. How much amount of RAM do you have ? Which is the size of your virtual memory ? When SFXMaker changes the icon and the RT_VERSION strings, it opens the file(switchless installer) for writing and searches for binary raw data to replace. Icon is replaced succesfully (it is done via ResHacker) and the problem you have seems to be with the strings. I'll see what i can do about it Best of luck !

Hi and welcome aboard Firstly, you should understand what silent installers are and how they can be created. there are plenty of topics here explaining the routine. If you would like to save time, i recommend you SFXMaker, a tool that i develop, which was designed for this type of operation : creating and customizing silent or switchless installers. That happened in earlier version than 1.2 Final when 7zs.sfx was missing. However, i fixed this in 1.2 Final. Can you check plugins folder one more time ?

The version must be if this type : "0.0.0.0" It must contain 3 dots and four integer values. That is why you get that error

@ diabolic53 If you are requesting an option to create a switchless installer from a MSI Input installer, this is already available. If you want your switchless installer to be a MSI, sorry to disappoint you, but it's not possible because MSI is not open-sourced. And btw, the name is "SFXMaker" not "MSIMaker" P.S: I chose to give you a response in English, since no other language is accepted here. And i'm not a "mos" ) C'ya @ anyone Can someone confirm if Edit Strings actually works. Some users reported me it works, some that it doesn't. Also, please post your Processor Architecture and Operating System.
