  1. In your winnt.sif file or whatever you have called it have you set unto [GuiUnattended] this AdminPassword=(password here if you want one else *) EncryptedAdminPassword=No If anything else is there like autologon or autologon count you need to remove that, as it does it from the stuff you have added in and can cause a conflict if its there.
  2. Try remaking a new image on the network from scratch, see if the error reoccurs
  3. Does anyone know why this might of happened. Also realised you cant really install the dotnetfx file that way. BUt what was I missing first time that meant that the updates didnt work, but after adding the updates into the image, they then installed themselves again off the server. There must be some update you have in your image before the other updates will start to install. Can anyone give me a clue so next time I know.
  4. Okay, im half way to figuring it out. I decided to use the other option and I added the files in using the intergrate command. Then when I have gone to test the image again, I actually left in the patches and the .inf file and this time round I have gotten to the t-13 stage and it is actually installing all the updates. So, new question. In future, I would rather not use the integrate method, but which patch out of the above in that list do I need to actually integrate before the svcpack.inf method will actually work properly. Any ideas?
  5. Currently trying to setup my RIS image to include hotfixes. I have followed the instructions in http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/24 and created the svcpack.inf file. I can see that the files are copied over during the installation but for some reason they are not installing. Im not overly sure where I am going wrong. It may possibly be something to do with the hotfixes im trying to install, but im not sure. Here is a what I have in my svcpack file. All these hotfixes I gathered after running RIS and installing, then running windows update, noting down what it wanted to install and downloading the actual update to put into the image. I just placed the relevant line near the top of the file as it says it doesnt really matter where it goes. [OptionalSrcDirs] SVCPACK Could anyone give me advice on where I am going wrong. I have followed the article to the letter and edited all the relevant files and removed the original svcpack.in_ file also. Thankyou
