Always nice to know there are as****** in anyplace you go. you can never be without one i guess. Dumbass, in case you haven't noticed before you entered your attitude into this post, Everyone other than you knew what was needed and gave their worthwhile 10 cents. Aside from my rambling, it failed. I input the driver, the laptop took it, reformatted and started installing. But when it came time for the first restart I got the "computer error, if this is your first time seeing this restart......" . And it did that from then on. So I reinstalled Vista until I can find out what went wrong.

JUST got my laptop to accept my nLite!! Thanks goes to Johndoe74 for the links. I just had to figure out what board I needed. Thanks to those who gave me other suggestions also.

being a noob at nlite, im not sure im doing it right. I downloaded it and added only the inf file. then it asked for a specific type of intel and raid mobile or desktop. I tried a few different ways and iether got a corrupted xp disk or one that still cant find the hard drive. Any more help is appreciated.

I'm trying to install XP onto my new Gateway NX860s Laptop, but it cannot find a hard drive. I looked for an inf file on my laptop to integrate with nLite to recognize it, but can't find one. Can I get some MUCH needed help in this area? Thanks a bunch

It was given to me with other updates on it outside of sp2. is there a good guide to allow me to integrate the driver i need?

I have a Windows xp/ sp3 cd i want to use on my laptop. But since it has Vista on it (i want it wiped out) XP cant find my hard drive. I figured to see about using nlite to intergrate a sata driver (http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=ST&f=88&t=85842) into my cd. Will nlite have any problems with my cd or do I have to use a non intergrated xp? Thanks

I bought a Gateway nx860s Laptop with Vista on it. Id like to install Windows XP instead of Vista (I have the Vista disk when they start coming out with sp's for it). However, XP says it cannot find a hard drive. Can I get some help to setup my Laptop to run XP? Thanks

I just made a vlite iso and its 1.39gigs. But I only have a cd burner not a dvd burner. I cant figure out how to make 2 cds from the iso. Can you guys give me some quick help? thanks

I just finished making a vlite file prior to reading your reply and I know I left the prefetch in. Is there a way to disable it after i install the program?

I am a complete noob at this and very excited to try vlite for myself. I would like to know what you removed to make your ram so low, or is that included in your preset? If so, can you tell me how to add your preset to vlite or is there a place I missed that would help me? Thanks

I'm confused This forum posts Vlite and talks about its use. Then someone uses it, and your saying its illegal? you still have to use a key after the 30 day trial. HOWEVER there is a crack program in there for "educational" purposes. The use of this material is SOLEY up to the user. It's not illegal to have a gun, just on how you use it.
