Have you checked if the DHCP server will give out more than 2 addresses, this is something that can be modified to increase security altho' it's not usually restricted as default. what happens if you hardwire it to the router(i know it's a headache carrying a PC around but it's something you may have to try! ;-) ) also, have you tried updating the drivers/firmware for the card?
