  1. @startrekrobs Here is one of many articles on WMP10 that "phone home" http://www.boycott-riaa.com/article/18363 A quote from article @RaGhul Yeah thats the MP I use too. I also use ffdshow. I didn't need a codec, I just thought I needed 9 for streaming, but MPC does that too. I also don't want WMP10 or 11, just want MPC to be the only one on my pc. Before I installed SP2 the only MP I had on it was classic. I don't care if I lose functionality of .WMA or .WMV, I don't use those file types. =)
  2. Na, I mean WMP9. I was using MPC (media player classic 6.4) and I installed WMP9, because I thought I needed it for a codec, which (after I installed) I didnt. I did not know that you cannot uninstall it, it just removes the shortcuts. Im trying to go back to MPC and delete WMP9. Ive set the defaults to MPC, but want WMP9 off my pc. Btw, from a couple articles I've read, WMP10 "phones home".
  3. Hmm, what do you mean by integrate SP2? Add it to my recovery cd?
  4. Hello everyone I currently have Win XP Pro with SP2, and I made the huge mistake of installing WMP9. I've read a lot of websites on how to get rid of it. What they all say is you cannot remove it, just delete shortcuts, unless you uninstall SP2. I was pointed to nLite. I read your guide and I have a question about nLite. I'm currently downloading SP2, and would like to take WMP9 out of it, then install the SP. Can nLite do this without having to create an iso?
