  1. Ok, well I'm sorry PS: The sidebar still rocks too
  2. I find VPC very easy to use :S VMWare looks more confusing to me.
  3. What you said worked but what do you mean by "Deal with it" I for one can easily peice this together now but what about for the people that have no clue about silent installing the heap of stuff you need to actually get the sidebar working? I am sure a lot of other people don't want to run around websites trying to fit together the Jigsaw which is this sidebar, can't you pack it all into one? except maybe for the API Lan update from Microsoft. Most people just want an addon that just 'works' It just get's put into Nlite and that's it, no other things to do.
  4. So having a Pirated Windows and admitting it, is not Piracy then because if it isn't, I have been terribly misinformed?
  5. Well guys I did it, and I checked the PSU too And still no luck, still BSOD's or freezes completly after I install a third party firewall, at least I know my HDD's are ok now, think it is a problem with my Windows Disk?
  6. I don't mean for you to take this the wrong way but, how can you call this an update? by the look of the changelog all you have actually done is pulled things from it and split them into even more chunks meaning people have to download more parts to get it working. EDIT: I decided to try that font pack and it corrupts my Windows Install saying that it can't copy one of the files...
  7. Ok I will give it a go and see what happens.
  8. I have 1 application I want to silent Install using the RunOnceEx.cmd file. ZoneAlarm FREE - Latest Version --- www.zonelabs.com Can anybody tell me good switches for it? As I want it to do some things and not do some things while it is installing. EDIT: I have done the 2nd Application, all I need is ZoneAlarms Switches.
  9. It was aimed at ATI users ATI Haven't brought out OGL Drivers yet which means most OGL games don't run properly or not at all. If you have Vista and an ATI card, you are screwed well, until they bring out the drivers of course.
  10. Hey dudes and dudets, been here for a while but haven't introduced myself properly so hi! I am glad to be a part of a big community such as MSFN and finally! a forum that has a lot of nice, helpful people
  11. Yes, that is what is worrying me, It must be something to do with Hardware but I do not know what is doing it, I know it is not the CPU but I haven't been able to check the RAM, is there any utilities that will be able to tell me more about my Hardware besides the make and speed?
  12. I Can't do a mem dump at all, When the BSOD comes up, my computer runs but the Hard drive instantly looses power so Windows is not actually there anymore.
  13. It is in the I386 folder
  14. @jca2007 MSFN does not condone Piracy so please do not talk about it here. Please read the rules
  15. For a year now, I have formatted my computer about 13 times, not because of problems, because of the urge to try out other OS's like Vista for example. and EVERY time I have put a new OS on my computer, everything ran perfect... until now. I have done about 3 clean installs this week..... again, but I cannot solve this, when Windows starts up with ANY third party firewall installed, my Hard Drive turns off and I get a BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death) when I start my computer in safe mode everything works perfectly, even the firewall but when I go to check my event logs, it seems this is caused by a 'important' service not being able to start, now normally, this would be as easy as 1 2 3, but no... Every time I check to see what causes Windows XP to crash, they are random services, sometimes 1 or sometimes more and they are varying, the service could be something like my Catalyst Control Center to something like a music service not working and I HIGHLY doubt that a service of that type is important to Windows XP. All this has led me to believe is that I have some sort of Virus that is not in Windows, but is actually in my Hardware or BIOS, could this be possible and if so, how could I check to see? PS: I have not done a full format on my computer for a year, only a quick formats, scan disk hasen't found any problems either when I checked last night.
  16. I heard of it... I think... um............. nope.

    Switches

I have noticed that there are loads of different switches and they all do different things, can someone point me to a list that tells me what each one does because I just can't do things properly without knowing what they do exactly, it will also stop me from making loads of requests.
  21. Hey... I got one thing to say to you mister............. IT WORKS! I had to get an older VAIOXP but the sidebar works just like it does on Vista now.
  22. Thanks, I managed to get it running just fine.
  23. The image you are seeing there is my Ultimate XP made out of XP Pro, it is running on a VM, it has Tablet PC and Media Center installed, I will intergrate WMP 11 and the other things later but would MC or Tablet interfeer with the sidebar? PS: Thanks for the links, I will download them all now. EDIT: Tried it on the VM and my real computer and I get the same error. EDIT 2: Forgot to mension, I can't seem to download the VAIOXP thing there is no link to any files?
  24. Thanks so much for the reply, I understand that kind of, but just to be sure, where would I put the switch, in CMDLines?
  25. I get this error when the sidebar launches. Any way to fix it?
