Media Encoder 9 worked fine on my previous laptop. i just bought a new one, though, which came with Windows XP Media Center Edition, and tried downloading ME 9 several times from several different sites. it downloads fine. installs fine. but when i try to launch it, it won't launch. i've tried uninstalling it, re-installing it, shutting down--all of it many times. i've tried the 32 bit edition, the 64 bit edition, etc. i've also tried uninstalling Windows Media Player. re-installing it. installing the latest version. i've also tried uninstalling all of my firewalls, etc. it just won't work. this leads me to believe that there is some conflict somehow with this new system--and i am assuming specifically with the Windows Media Center edition. any ideas? please help
