  1. Nice work, rick. You posted these on RyanVM's forum like a month ago, didn't you? They're ok, but not alphablended. I like MrNxDmx's AIO pack better. Sorry. http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?...ight=aio+cursor [edit] Oh, yeah. The Vista theme. Forgot about that one! You were right. The 'orb' one's the best. Maybe you could put a theme together with this, AeroCursors (alphablended), and your VistaRTM Sounds pack? That would really hit the spot!
  2. I agree with Pixelated. Try integrating first, then nLite. Or even the other way around. But using several programs to get your cd done... I was having alot of issues lately, too. I found (from lots of sifting thru forums here. Thx guys.) that using nlite, then Integrator, then nlite, then (whatever), screws things up alot. Nlite in particular seems to get really confused doing multiple sessions, especially using different builds. Then files get lost. Do everything you want to with EITHER app all in one session. All goes much smoother if you do everything you want to do with one app first, then the other. Plus, I started testing my cd with VMware each step along the way (after Ryan's pack, after nlite) so when you have a problem, you know which app had the issue.
  3. Well, I myself just gave up on 'Unattended' since 1.2.1 ...too much of a hassle. Why go through all those leaps and hurdles, just to have to enter info manually after install anyways? Not worth the headache. To me, nLite is supposed to save time, which for the most part it does. Spending hours online trying figure out how to save 2 minutes of it seems a little counter-productive. No offense.
  4. Weird... I had that same problem since 1.2.1, that's why I stopped doing Unattended cd's. You know that old joke, "Doctor, every time I move my arm like this, it hurts...."
  5. Just thought of another way to do it. I remember one time I stumbled across the list in Control Panel somewhere. I think you need this addon, though: One of the CPL (Control Panel) addons is 'Windows Updates', which gives you a list of, well... Since it gets integrated into XP, and installs with it, it picks up all the updates installed by Ryan's pack (if I remember correctly. Don't quote me on that.) Try it!!
  6. hmmm.... That would be a good feature to include with nuhi's v1.3 Final, I think. (Hint, hint.)
  7. Just a quickie (I'm sure most of you are headed to grandma's right about now.) Looks like hp38 finally solved his hosting problems. The downloads are available again!! Woo-hoo!!
  8. Kiki, I think this thread is a good idea. Some people never have a problem, but some do. I see posts all over the place about this one. Of course, there are some things you can do to minimize the risk, but eventually, it'll happen. Very useful. nuhi, Just a suggestion. I LOVE the app. This is in no way a reflection on you, or your great proggy. But this could be a GREAT way to handle all the missing file issues all in one place. I know many times it happens due to "user error", but it would still be a good way to answer all issues at once, and possibly even weed out any actual adjustments that might be needed. Might even make a great STICKY!! (Just a thought.)
  9. Kel, nuhi, That's good to know. Still, I think I'm gonna steer clear of IE7 and WMP11 for now. It's like playing with Vista. Still too green yet. No matter how good nlite and Integrator are (my respects, nuhi, Sigi and Ryan), there's bound to be glitches for a while.
  10. I have to admit, I didn't think about that one, Pixelated. Good idea. Have you tried 1.3 yourself? How's it fare compared to 1.2.1?
  11. Ummm... I think he wants to know how can he check to see which ones are actually in there after he's finished installation. Best way I can think of to do that is to go to Windows Update and see what pops up (if anything): Start > All Programs > Windows Update OR: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ (You must use Internet Explorer for this, not Firefox.) That's what I always do. If anything, at least you'll know what's NOT included. Hope this helps.
  12. Hi, guys. New to the forum, here. But I've been floating around Ryan's forum's for a few months now. I use both Integrator and nLite. Can I apply this patch with nLite? Integrator? Does it matter? Should I apply this after all others, or doesn't matter? (PLZ forgive the 'noob' factor...)
  13. Still won't download. Just goes right back the the download page or I just get an error file downloaded instead of the exe. Stephen Dude, check your PM's ================= deskman: the file is probably corrupt. When installing, windows checks the size of the file against the entry for the file in txtsetup.sif. 2 options: 1) ignore the error, as that file probably isnt ever going to be used anyways 2) edit txtsetup.sif, find the line that mentions that file and delete everything after the last comma on that line I'd advise doing the first if you are fairly new. Thx for that!! I've often had copy errors after removing a bunch of stuff with nLite, and I always thought the problem was something similar to what you mentioned. (aka, The file's still there, but dumb Windows doesn't know it.) I'm gonna try editing that txtsetup.sif file. Appreciate the info!!
  14. I personally haven't used boooggy's Pack. Ryan's is the most complete, and probably the most stable, due to the fact that it's the most downloaded AND talked about on the forums. Therefore, any stability issues are found out pretty **** quick. Xable's is MUCH lighter, though. A few updates show up in MU, yes. But nothing you need to worry about. I had a tiny issue with Xable's last pack, 2.0.4, which was upgraded to 2.0.4a after Sigi and I found an issue. SO, no errors there either. Basically, it's a matter of preference. I prefer it LITE, which is why I use nLite as well as Integrator to whittle down the XP cd in the first place. I can handle XP whining about a few UNNECESSARY updates. (For ex., Microsoft considers IE "necessary") So I use Xable's.
