[WLAN] Problem accessing to my workgroup or neighbor Sharedocs
coucou replied to coucou's topic in Networks and the Internet
Hi, Sorry for the delay reply. I had Problem with my computer. @nitroshift: YES, all the machines are in the same workgroup "Maison" and in the same ip range @RogueSpear: You are right regarding Symantec blocks NetBIOS. But, how do you explain that all the 4 computers have exactly the same firewall RULES (see bellow enclosed image) and only one of them have the access problem? I have look more closer my problem to exactly defining it. Here it is. 1) I'm working on computer (name) Lifetec belongs workgroup Maison . When I double click on My Network Places/Microsoft Windows Network, I have my workgroup Maison displayed. But, When I double click on workgroup Maison I get "Maison is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this networkk resource. Contact the Admistrator..." message. 2) I can access to any SharedDocs workgroup neighbor computer by typing his name in the address bar example: \\dimension\SharedDocs 3) I can access to my working computer (Lifetec) by typing \\Lifetec in the address bar, BUT NOT to it SaredDocs. If I type \\Lifetec\SharedDocs, i get "\\Lifetec\SharedDocs is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this networkk resource. Contact the Admistrator. The network path was not found" message. In brief, I can access to all my SharedDocs workgroup neighbor computers BUT NOT to my SharedDocs working computer. Hope to get more help with this exact problem description. Regards coucou -

Really, No one can help with this??? too sad Regards coucou -
Hello, I've a small (4 PCs) wireless network working fine. Last week I reinstall a fresh Unattended WinXP + appz on one machine (PC3). Since that, each time i try accessing my workgroup "Maison" or the neighbor Sharedocs from that machine (PC3), I've "Maison is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this networkk resource. Contact the Admistrator..." message (see attached image). To get ride from that, i must Disable Symantec Client Firewall for 5 minutes. Is there anyhow to fix that once and all for all? TNX coucou

coucou replied to coucou's topic in The General Stuff
I found finalyy what goes wrong and FIX it In fact, in "Device Manager/System Devices/PCI bus" had exclamtion mark. I tried reinstalling it, it ask for "hbaudbus.dll" I couldn't find it anywhere. I had to download the "C-Media High Definition Audio" driver from my manufacturer (MEDION). It include an extra folder called "BusDriver" which contain KB835221 inside. By installing KB835221 everything goes right coucou -
Hi, Since i installed my latest unattended DVD with the latest bashrat drivers DriverPack_Chipset_V6031.7z DriverPack_CPU_V603.7z DriverPack_Graphics_A_V603.7z DriverPack_Graphics_B_V603.7z DriverPack_Graphics_C_V603.7z DriverPack_LAN_V6032.7z DriverPack_MassStorage_V6031.7z DriverPack_Sound_A_V603.7z DriverPack_Sound_B_V603.7z DriverPack_TV-PVR_V101.7z DriverPack_WLAN_V603.7z Everything (WinXP +softwares) works fine EXCEPT my onboard "C-Media High Definition Audio Device" which is not detected on startup... and i've NO audio/sound output. I tried rescanning the devices with "Device Manager"... No Audio detection Then, i tried installing it through the Control Panel/Add Hardware.../Add New Hardware Device/Install the Hardware Manually/Sound, Video and Game Controllers (Category).../C-Media High Definition Audio Device Version 5.12.1.8 and/or Version 5.12.1.9 The install looks working... at the end I've the Window Message (see here bellow attached) "Completing the Add Hardware Wizard" with the remark: The software for this device is now installed. But, may not work correctly. This device cannot start. (Code 10)" When I check the "Device Manager" I have effectively "Sound, Video and Game Controllers"/"C-Media High Definition Audio Device" with exclamtion mark. Again NO "C-Media High Definition Audio Device" detected after reboot. I tried uninstall and reinstall without success. I'll appreciate any help coucou

Hi, I'm looking for a Regtweak restoring the Notepad.exe substitued by Notepad2.exe. In fact, my unattended DVD include Kels Uber Addons Pack (RyanVM) . This Addons contain Notepad2.exe alternative to Notepad.exe. As i'm using WPI, i've some commands refer to the standard Notepad.exe, like "Taskkill.exe /F /IM notepad.exe". When Notepad2.exe substitute the standard Notepad.exe , then the Taskkill command doesn't take effect. Is there a Regtweak restoring notepad.exe or disabling Notepad2 before WPI runs or as a first WPI command??? TNX for yr help coucou

HI, My question may had discussed in a older post. But, as the msfn administrator has taken the search engine offline, I'll post my question. I suppose that many of you integrate The Bâshrat DriverPacks and use WPI. 1) Can i call/launch the driverpack command (BTS_DPs_finish.cmd) from WPI??? If so, do the driverpack should be launched as the first appz in cofig.js file "ordr[pn]=[0]" or as the last. 2) If the driverpack command (DPS_BTS_finish) CAN'T be call/launch from WPI? How dd I resolve that? Do Winnt.sif/[GuiRunOnce] should be looks like here bellow? [GuiRunOnce] command9 = "%SystemDrive%\D\BTS_DPs_finish.cmd" %systemdrive%\install\wpi\wpi.cmd If so, how do i check that the drivers were installed? TNX for yr help coucou
