It seems that if I spent more time looking at the key table instead of writing this post, I might have noticed the column of 'unclaimed keys', the checkbox beside the software, and lastly the button 'request keys'! Thanks Spooky for the quick reply, I'm about to start researching the differences between the 'Ultimate' 'Business' and 'Home' versions of Vista (5CD download, I'm sure I'll have plenty of time!)   2. Czesc, I'm a subscriber to MSDN based on my former employment; my question to anybody who might also be a subscriber- does Windows Vista x86 require a product key (as in my Key table there are none beside it), or do I call Microsoft for a Key? Thank you
