  1. You need to show advanced options, and under operating system options, disable Internet Explorer Core. NOTE: IF YOU DISABLE INTERNET EXPLORER CORE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE WINDOWS!!!
  2. Hi! I installed a copy of XP Home OEM SP2 (HP Compaq, around nov. 2005), and am now wondering what is going on. I have added msconfig.exe to the keep box, and kept all services, and anything in red. I will be happy to post any config files you want. The problem is, that when I start the computer, networking doesn't work. I usually fix this with MSCONFIG, but when I run MSCONFIG, I get: An Access Denied error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log on using an Administrator account to make the specified changes. I am logged on as an administrator though, so this is quite mysterious. To work around this annoyance, I used Services.msc to enable all services, but the Workstation and DHCP Client will not start up automatically, even when set to automatically. I am able to get the networking operating by using the PENETCFG included with BartPE. Any help is greatly appreciated. -rmsuperstar99
