  1. As a conclusion of a deep search in the web and also in this forum it seems that slipstreaming sp3 and post_sp3 updates into office xp install requires to use an office xp cd enterprice edition. But I have a professional edition! I do not have a "proplus.msi" file in the cd root; i have a "proret.msi" file instead, and the command <<msiexec /p c:\SP3\mainsp3.msp /a c:\Office\proret.msi shortfilenames=true /qb>> does not work. Has somebody any idea on how to perform slipstreaming in this case?
  2. Thanks to Super-Magician! I'm going to test both RyanVM's .NET 1.1 installer and RogueSpear's .NET 2.0 installer!
  3. yes, mswrd6.wp_ is there! I found it also in \source\i386! but they are different in date as follows: - \source\i386: aug 3,2004 - \sourcess\i386: nov 11, 2006 it implies that hfslip has modified it, isn't it?, but not in the right way!
  4. hi, what file do i have to look for in \sourcess\i386 directory? anyway i confirm that occurrencies of "885836" reported in my previous reply have been found in \sourcess\i386 directory, and also that no occurrencies of "885836" are present in \source\i386.
  5. hi, i ran hfslip again on the same basis. I could find "885836" occurrencies as follows: HFSLIPWU.INF: [HFSLIPREG] ................................................... HKLM,"SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows XP\SP3\KB885836","Type",0,"Update" ................................................... HFSLP206.INF: [strings] ProxyRegKey=SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WSPSrv\Parameters ...................................................... TsclientRegKey=SOFTWARE\Classes\conman.exe\DefaultIcon PATH_ZONES="Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones" SERVICE_PACK_NUMBER = 3 HelpLink = "http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=885836" ...................................................... WIRELESS-DispName = "Wireless" ServicePackSourceFiles = "Windows XP Hotfix Source Files" SP_SHORT_TITLE = "KB885836" SP_TITLE = "Windows XP Hotfix - KB885836" SVCPACK.INF: [ProductCatalogsToInstall] ........... KB885836.CAT ........... I could not find "mswrd6.wp_ "anywhere Regards
  6. hi, thanks for your prompt replies, unfortunately I have already deleted sourcess directory, but i'm planning to repeat the complete test, so I can revert you at the soonest. I could only check the presence of the two files (and they were both there) in hfslip.log. I'm also planning to check enbel's suggestions. Additionally, I miss to tell you that I have performed the setup with the slipstreamed CD by using the repair option on an existing XPSP2 1st partition already inclusive of all same hotfixes, this just to avoid the annoying problem of microsoft windows xp activation: by the way, have you any other idea on how to overcome this activation problem? At the end of setup I made the check on windows update site. Also, i used nlite last version to integrate nvidia raid 0+1 drivers. Also, i made another test by doing a fresh xp installation on a logic partition by using a cd prepared in the same way but in italian language: in this case i had no problem at all and i verified through windows update site a full incorporation of all files. thank you again
  7. hi, first, i have integrated sp2 manually through "D:\sp2\i386\update.exe -s:D:\" command; then I have slipstreamed everything possible except dx9 extras. To do that I have used HFSLIP 1.1.0, and all hotfixes&updates&cabs used have been downloaded at the date of Nov. 23, 2006. However, windowsxp-KB885836-x86-ENU.exe and windowsmedia10-kb917734-x86-ENU.exe have been not slipstreamed. any idea on how to do it?
  8. Ok. It was not my intention to bother anybody. I did not understand not to use caps and not to post separate topics. Now I know it and I will no longer do it. Thank you very much anyway. I see that some topics have been cancelled. however, among them, the question related to the use of HFSlip to integrate Net Framework (1.1, 2.0 and their updates) in Win2k&Winxp is still open for me. Can anybody tell me how to do it? Thank you again
  9. Can HFSLIP integrate (or slipstream) storage RAID and/or network drivers in Windows W2KSP4/WXPSP2?
  10. Thank you! I will test with HFSlip 1.1.0 now!
  11. I'm sorry I forgot the list of software! HFSLIP package latest final (version 1.0.1) I tried to slipstream in Windows XP Pro all software listed in the link http://users.telenet.be/tc76/winup/_winxpsp2.html at the date of Nov. 18,2006
  12. When testing on ASUS A8N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard a WinXPSp2 package in which almost everything was slipstreamed, a stop occurred with the following message: Quote The bios in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor or visit http://www.hardware-update.com for an update bios. If you are unable to obtain an updated bios or the latest bios supplied by your vendor is not ACPI compliant, you can turn off ACPI mode during test mode setup. To do this simply press the F7 key when you are prompted to install storage drivers. The system will not notify you that the F7 key was pressed - it will silentlydisable ACPI and allow you to continue your installation. STOP:0x000000A5 (0x00000002,0x89FF2A60,0xE100E968,0x8A02D030) Unquote By pressing the F7 key I could complete the setup. However, it is a fact that the last available bios (V. 1303) from ASUS has been installed and that said motherboard should be fully ACPI compliant according to its specification. It is also a fact that if running a setup with the software not slipstreamed, the blue screen stop does not occur. So I think that something wrong occurs during slipstreaming process. Any idea on how to solve this issue, other than pressing F7 key? Thanks
