    Thank you very much I useed this article to resolve this problem http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=427285 right-click on HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT in regedit, and add my user name in Special permissions

    Hi Dear My windows XP pro Auto updater promt me to update Windows installer to 3.1 but unfortunalt every time update fail to install the new version of installer. I manually downloaded the installer 3.1 from MS web site, and attempt to install it, after I click on setup file ,after few seconds a message pop up and says "Access denied". I am logged in As Admin, I also creted new user with admin right to install non of them worked. thanks to help me.
