Try the driver found in here, http://www.download.com/Creative-WebCam-Pr...4-10203072.html but first you have to rename the files i described previously (and maybe all the ovt* files and directories) then unplug the camera (try also restarting) and then install the new drivers. After the installation plug in the camera (not before to avoid automatic installation as ovt camera) and a suggestion, if you can switch to linux (say ubuntu) your life will be better. nisf

it seems like you deleted too much. it is better to rename than to delete the files located at the windows directory (or other system directory). What would i suggest? 1st if there is a way to regain the deleted files would be the best 2nd if you cannot undelete those files try reinstaling the drivers for the devices that have problem. one at a time if you succeed in one of the previous steps then try to fix the cam problem by just renaming the amcap.exe and the omcamcap.exe file (and maybe the omnius.exe file) and then repeat the procedure that i described in my previous post. It should work since i have the very same cam and i encountered the same problem in my computer good luck

I had the same problem. I suggest the following procedure, 1) plug your camera in the usb 2) right on my computer (desktop) select properties and then hardware and then device manager(or something like it) 3)click on imaging devices and rightclick dual mode usb icon select properties then driver then details 4)locate in the windows directory the .exe files that you found in the previous window and rename them. 5)UNPLUG the camera and reinstall the drivers for the web cam pro (which can be found as creative web cam pro ex drivers in the internet) if you want you can restart and (hopefully) the problem is solved.
